Compuma is a Tokyo-based DJ whose extensive knowledge of obscure and leftfield music across different regions of the world has established him as one of the most respected record buyers in Japan.

This month's guest is Kyoto-based Iryoku. In her own words: "As a child, I had insomnia but I became a narcoleptic at puberty". Her inner landscapes are Osaka, where she was born and raised, and Hong Kong, which she used to visit at least once a year before the Handover. Her influences include poets Gozo Yoshimasu and Octavio Paz, and writers Kenji Nakagami, Gilles Deleuze and Pierre-Félix Guattari. She has had mixes released on respected underground labels such as Black Smoker and Altzmusica. Her selections appeal to all senses, often collaged with field recordings and spoken word: while retaining an experimental approach, they flow effortlessly, with an extraordinary cinematic quality. She plays the first hour, followed by a free-form ambient mix by Sobriety.
