★ ist ein weitgereister Gentleman: 
Aus der Schweizer Provinz, wo er seine ersten (und zweiten) musikalischen Schritte unternahm, zog es ihn in den Straßendschungel der deutschen Hauptstadt Berlin, wo er 6 Jahre lang blieb und sein Handwerk vertiefte. Zusammen mit seinem damaligen Mitbewohner Dave Dinger zog er um die Häuser und bespielte mit ihm Clubs wie die Bar25.
Und wer es in Berlin schafft, der erobert das kleine Zürich im Sturm: Matija machte sich nach seiner Rückkehr auf, die Schweizer Szene-Metropole zu erobern. Mit Erfolg: Nach Partyreihen im Supermarkt, Hive (und anderen Clubs) arbeitete er jahrelang als Nachtmanager im Zürcher Hive Club und ist in diesem immer noch als Resident tätig.
Als ehemaliger Nachtmanager von Gonzo, Frieda's Büxe und Hive ist er nun seit 24 Jahren als DJ in der ganzen Schweiz und oft auch international unterwegs..

On that sunny and cold morning in late February, Hekske (The Little Witch) was surprised to experience an unstoppable urge to fly.  This was completely unexpected as the last full moon was only 11 days ago, and witches normally only fly out on full moon days, when they go to their monthly coven.  Anyway, after kissing goodbye to Falke (the 9-year old witch apprentice) and Lalita (the Asian tree nymph), the young witch surrendered to her urge and flew into the unknown.  She had no idea where she was flying to, but she knew she would – as always - reach her destination by following her inner compass.
After taking off, the little witch headed straight towards the east with great speed, meaning the destination must be pretty far away.  After a day and a night of flying, she sensed she had reached her destination and gently touched down on an abandoned railway in the middle of a snow-covered forest, where she was welcomed by 2 other witches.  After a long welcome hug, the 2 women explained that the army of the country from the Eastern side of the river had invaded this land and a horrific and senseless war was raging between both parties.  A pure being like a witch has great trouble to understand things like borders and wars, but the little witch briefly felt the agony and suffering which was happening in this beautiful country, as well as the pain inside the heart of the peace-loving people of the attacking country.
Then the eldest witch spoke these wise words ‘However bleak and hopeless the current situation seems to be, if you look far enough in the future, peace and harmony will be restored between the people on both sides of the river’.  She stood up, and exactly at that moment 6 young witches and 6 wizards came from the 12 wind directions to converge in this place.  The 3 witches welcomed all of them, and explained that this place is the very center of Europe, as it’s neither East nor West, nor North nor South.  This place is the beating heart of Europe and today would be the day to give shape to the future.  While listening to all these explanations, the 12 young witches and wizards were not paying too much attention as they were too busy sneaking glances and shy smiles at each other.  After that, the 6 young witches and 6 wizards were being left alone and slowly they split up into 6 couples.  Although there were a few surprises as this included one witch-witch and one wizz-wizz couple, there was one constant among all couples… one person was dressed in red, blue and white and the other half of the couple in yellow and blue.  The eldest witch explained that the blue and yellow dress is worn by the people of the west bank of the river, and the red-blue-white colors by the people of the east bank.
The 6 couples started to stroll hand-in-hand along the railroad through the cold and leafless forest.  Actually, this railway line is known as the ‘Tunnel Of Love’ and is considered as the most romantic place in Europe (but less so in winter).  And then something magic happened.  One of the couples exchanged their first shy kiss, and the color of their clothes immediately changed to a bright pink, while the temperature suddenly shot up and the surrounding trees got fresh green leaves.  The other couples noticed this, and soon they were all exchanging tender kisses, while all the trees along the railway track became green.  Meanwhile a soft spring sun started to shine while all kinds of birds started to sing.  While the war was still raging around the forest, a new spring had already arrived in this Tunnel Of Love…

Unsere Nr. 167 kommt dieses Mal von einem Herzensmenschen, denn ich vor knapp drei Jahren persönlich auf dem ehemaligen Uckeralm Festival kennen- und zu schätzen gelernt habe. Als weltoffener Mensch mit einer speziellen Verbindung zu den Skandinavischen Ländern, bereiste er auch für längere Zeit Teile Südamerikas. Seine Liebe zum Downtempo blieb stets gleich, erweiterte sich stilistisch aber mit dem Zeitgeist beider Kulturen. Ferne, Ruhe, Abenteuer…ja das passt. 

Wir begrüßen in unserer kleinen, aber feinen Reihe den Freiburger DJ 'THE LAST TWIN' der einen großen Hang für ethnische und sehnsüchtige Melodien, sowie tiefe Bassdrums hat. 

Eine hervorragende Hörprobe seines Könnens ist der für uns arrangierte Podcast. Die Aufnahme ist nämlich kaum an Schönheit zu überbieten. Neben einem sanften und überaus harmonischen Aufbau mit ganz viel Tiefgang, fließen die Übergänge nahezu nur so ineinander, dass man schnell vergisst einem Mix zu lauschen. Ab und dann könnte man auch meinem, dass es sich bei all der Harmonie nämlich um einen Never-Ending-Track handeln könnte. Sobald man die Augen schließt und den Klängen Lauscht, vergisst man ganz schnell den Alltag. Es entsteht ein Gefühl der puren Entspannung, welches Zeit und Raum auflöst. 
Dazu besticht sein Set auch mit dem tollen Arrangement, in dem er das gewisse Feingefühl für Stimmungen und Dramatik zeigt. Egal wie man es wendet und dreht, die Aufnahme nimmt einen tatsächlich ohne Umwege auf eine intensive Reise ins Nirvana und zurück mit. 

Wir sind selber komplett sprachlos von diesem besonderen, unerwarteten Geschenk, welches du uns gemacht hast Jakob. 
Wir danken Dir vielmals für dieses besondere Set. Umwerfend, intensiv und überraschend gut. Wenn Traum, dann Hier. Chapeu.

Wir sind entzückt.

Diesen Monat begrüßen wir zwei ganz besondere Menschen in unserem Schleichcast: Leirum & Slin (@leirumslin). Das Duo ist mittlerweile kaum mehr aus der Stuttgarter Szene wegzudenken. Mit ihrem fluffigen Downtempo Sound konnten sie uns schon mehrere Abende & Nächte versüßen. Umso mehr freuen wir uns nun, dass wir sie für unseren Schleichcast gewinnen konnten. <3

~Zeit für ein schleichendes Frage & Antwort Spiel~

>>Wer seid ihr und woher kommt ihr?
LEIRUM & SLIN sind zwei musikliebende Menschen, die gerne selbst mitgestalten und vor über 4 Jahren im Milliways, nicht weit neben der Milchstraße, geboren wurden!

 >>Wie kamt ihr zum Auflegen?
Durch die ganze Feierei… kam immer mehr die Lust auf, selbst etwas zu der bevorstehenden Nacht beizutragen – plötzlich wurden nächtliche Schwätzchen ernst genommen und so kam es zum ersten Booking. Tja, da haben wir uns dann gefunden bzw. Blut geleckt, beschlossen uns zusammen zu tun und erst einmal nicht mehr damit aufzuHören!

 >>Was gefällt euch besonders an "langsamer" Musik?
Langsam hört Mensch einfach mehr: die kleinen Details und das große Ganze der Musik. Downtempo entschleunigt unserer Meinung nach vielfältig, ob tags oder nachts, ob fluffig oder technoid, ob gedanklich oder tänzerisch, ob Herz oder Ohren, macht wachsamer und achtsamer – Außerdem kann man dabei besser knutschen!

 >>Was ist euer aktueller Lieblingstrack (und auf wieviel BPM)? 
Es fällt uns schwer uns festzulegen, da es viele tolle Tracks aus unterschiedlichen Genres gibt und wir zusätzlich zwei Hörende mit verschiedenem Gusto sind ;) Aber derzeit sind die Produktionen von 
Monkyman ; Ausnahmsweise sogar in Originalgeschwindigkeit und Amount – Friendly Prince ; runter gepitcht auf 100 Bpm Hoch im Kurs bei uns.

 >>Ein Set, dass ihr euch immer wieder anhört? 
Ein absoluter Dauerbrenner ist seit 5 Jahren beispielsweise neobeo – moonpiano. Alltäglich hören wir allerdings eher weniger Sets sondern mehr einzelne Tracks…Aber man munkelt, dass das neue Schleichcast von LEIRUM & SLIN ganz gut sein soll ;) Danke an schleichend!

 >>Was ist euer Lieblingsfestival? 
Jedes Festival ist anders besonders und wandelt sich von Jahr zu Jahr…es kommt vor allem auf die Menschen um einen herum an! Nur gemeinsam entstehen Stimmung, Atmosphäre und letzten Endes auch Erinnerungen. Tendenziell sprechen wir beide uns auch hier für ‚weniger ist mehr‘ aus: Lieber kleine Festivals als große. Lieber langsam als schnell. Lieber freie Szene als Kommerz!
