Born and raised on the mean streets of Chebba, Mbarek Taoufik  Aka Gabby, started his musical journey when he was 14 when he found a copy of 808 state-90 belonging to his Dad. It was at this moment that Aka Gabby knew he wanted to be part of The Scene.

He first became interested in the electronic music scene in 2008. At the age of 17, he was already being touted as Chebba's answer to DJ Hannibal. He did various warm up sets before the doors opened in clubs hosting major names such as DJ Hannibal, Marcus, and many more. In 2020, he achieved his big break when he was given a nomination for Best Newcomer DJ at the Electronic Dance awards, where he came runner up to  Paul Kalkbrenner. It was after this point when he started getting gigs at big events such as Holi festival of colors and H2H festival.

After receiving several offers, Mbarek Taoufik joined Zoomwave Records who helped distribute his first internet release, 'Spacewalker ' in 2022. Though the single didn't sell as many as he probably would have liked, Mbarek Taoufik is a fighter and since that has been locked in the studio perfecting his craft and signed to See The Sea Records.

Suffice to say, the Techno, House and Rave scene should be expecting big things from Mbarek Taoufik in 2023.
