The Natron mirror of water populates the imagination with its enigmatic deep red color and its placid and dark surface, guardian of secrets, seemingly quiet.
From its shores, majestic mountains can be glimpsed towering against the sky.
Its supernatural appearance that not even the most solid scientific reasoning can drive away.
A peculiar color gradation resulted from the accumulation of sodium, very high temperatures and alkaline springs, which trigger a calcification process that no body or species can escape.
Once permeated, it remains there forever and becomes part of it: liquid and solid, fleeting and permanent, ethereal and evanescent.

"Natron VA001" is the Stagno Records’ genesis: an immersive voyage through this crimson expanse. It is a powerful, commanding force, like a tempestuous storm, yet also delicate and otherworldly.
Six incandescent tracks from a meticulous selection of talented producers around.
Maquis Son Sistèm, K.O.P. 32, Marmo, Atoloi, Plants Army Revolver, and CP1: in this impalpable journey they push the boundaries of uptempo and half-beat, with their pulsating basses echoing the raw energy of the crimson landscape. EM008 — "Hyperlost" by Raär + Whylie

A testament to catharsis of body and mind, an homage to sentiment and intrigue.

‘Hyper:lost’ purveys two interlinked but distinct sides of an artist whose reputation has spanned a long and ever maturing path of sonic development. Where Raär’s signature intricacy manifests in the grittier ‘hyper’ half of ‘hyper:lost’, Whylie counters with the haunted but sentimental spatiality of the other - the ‘lost’.

For this is like a search through the dialectic of the machine; energetic fluxes and frenetic textural modulations of the hyperreal encounter swirls of melancholy and lush human washes of its seeker. These are the contradictions of a determinedly uncertain pursuit; of a head charge into the void.

Twin parts diagnosis and remedy of a present insanity. Heads down and knees up for the end.

A varied range of electronic elements invites listeners to explore sonic landscapes akin to Ryman's exploration of the subtle nuances within a seemingly uniform color. Welcome to the underground of the Portuguese underground. Not necessarily the oldest members, but at least among the most active and the most honest, because WTVR and 451F are the kind of artists who are involved, not to say committed, in their artistic approach and in all their cultural activism. Whether it's a career as a “pyromaniac” visual artist or one made up of encounters and accidents, these two producers certainly share a desire to defy the boundaries between genres, both thirsting for sonic experimentation.

So, is it still footwork? Is it still jungle? Or halftime? Or breakcore? Not really... and a bit of all that at the same time. And that's what makes this production so interesting. So, let's experiment!
