Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: ‘Whoever reads Surat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, a light will shine for him from beneath his feet to the clouds of the sky, which will shine for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will be forgiven (his sins) between the two Fridays.’”

Recommended prayers, based on authentic hadith, should be recited daily in the morning after completing the Fajr prayer and before sunrise if possible. If this time is missed, they can be recited 15 minutes after sunrise until the Thuhr afternoon prayer. Even if one is not praying, these prayers can still be recited.
Imam Nawawi (ra) stated, The verses of the morning and evening adhkār encourage starting and ending the day with dhikr. This is so that one may commence and end with the worship of Allah, and the dhikr will expiate for the sins perpetrated in between these two periods.” – al-Nawawī (raḥimahullāh)

The famous companion of the Messenger of Allah Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him), Hazrat Ka’ab bin Ujrah (radi Allahu anhu), narrates that once it was inquired from Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ) as to how blessings should be sent to him. The Messenger of Allah Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam replied that the blessings be said in the manner (it has been mentioned) above, that is, Durood-e-Ibrahim.
