Blending fast, driving hard trance with the direct emotion of eurodance, 2 am is built for momentum.
The album never slows down. Instead, it moves forward with pressure, repetition, and release — track by track pushing deeper into a shared physical experience.

Vocals are used sparingly and intentionally: sometimes melodic, sometimes spoken, often reduced to simple phrases that feel more like instinct than storytelling.

wanted to try a new thing for this remix and explore the genres, i didn't really choose future bass for this remix but it just came out of what i was imagining for this song.  while writing this i didn't have a vision of djs playing it out or mixing in with it.  it was purely made just for listening and good vibes - let me know your thoughts and hope you enjoy it!

After finding out this was Pauline's first session she brought up an idea she had made before coming over as something to start with. She had already written this song from her perspective talking about being nervous about a significant other and what they were doing behind her back.

We started in the afternoon and wrote out the entire first half of the song together - we stopped to get poké and came back to write the second half. I thought it could be cool to write the second half from the other perspective. Pauline suggested I sing the second half to bring that idea to life even more to which I definitely said no, but after a bit of convincing and Pauline telling me I sounded somewhat like Eden I said fuck it and started recording.

By 3am the song had been finished, front to back in just over 12 hours.

The contrast between both vocals and combining them to resolve the story as a duet makes this song special. I remember both of us listening to it multiple times a day after it was finished and both being ecstatic about it.

Pauline is such an incredible singer/songwriter but also producer - She's the majority of the reason I even sound half decent while singing and tons of other changes throughout the song that made it feel right. We we're swapping off my PC multiple times an hour going back and forth when either of us had an idea to add. We almost ended up losing the project at one point and named an audio channel "FLUT THIG" that ended up becoming the first name of the demo and the inside joke between the two of us.

Thank you for being a part of this EP and helping create a song that I will stand by forever. FLUT THIGGGGGGGG
