Rooted in hypnotic, groovy techno, SOFIAH is a Guatemalan DJ and producer carving out space on international dance floors with relentless precision and raw energy. Known for her signature dark groove style, her sets blend deep rhythms, shadowy textures, and driving momentum — designed to lock dancers into a trance-like state without ever letting go.
She’s played in renowned venues like KitKat Club (Berlin) and Pratersauna (Vienna), and brought her sound to countries including Croatia, Mexico, Greece, Poland, El Salvador, and Honduras. As founder of 150 + 10 collective in Guatemala, she’s dedicated to creating inclusive techno experiences that challenge norms and uplift local talent.
Whether behind the decks or curating events, her mission is clear: to connect through sound, emotion, and movement — always building energy, always moving forward.

DEOFC 076 | SOFIAH

Based in Warsaw, this Turkish DJ and producer has carved out a strong presence in the European electronic music scene, with standout performances at venues such as Tresor Berlin, Kiev, and Basel. Known for her energetic hard groove DJ sets, she brings raw intensity and rhythmic drive to the dancefloor. In contrast, her production work leans into cinematic, ambient, and experimental territories—creating soundscapes for films, campaigns, and the gaming industry.

Her debut EP SELEM was released on Polish label The Behind The Stage, followed by Against Ignorance on Georgia’s Innergate Records. Most recently, she collaborated with Lesser Of for an EP on Vast Perception. She is also the co-owner of Lethal Curse, a label focused on pushing underground sounds forward.

At 27, he works full-time as a Sales & Operations Executive in the Environmental Sector. But outside office hours, his heart beats for something else entirely: family, close friends, and the music that has shaped his identity from early on. Whether he’s unwinding with a film or discovering fresh sounds, he makes the most of his downtime doing what he loves.

His journey in the local scene spans over a decade. First as a wide-eyed party goer, then as a promoter, and today thanks to his close friend Georg, as part of the team behind event organisation. DJing entered the picture just four months ago, but the connection to the culture runs deep.

His inspiration
A mix of timeless and cutting-edge. KiNK, Ben Klock, Freddy K. More recent inspirations include Yanamaste, Chlar, and Chontane. But it all started at home. His parents introduced him to electronic music early on. He still revisits the discographies of Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, The Chemical Brothers, Faithless, and The Prodigy to this day.

What sets a DJ apart
The ability to read a crowd and guide them with intention. It’s about selecting the right track at the right moment, not chasing hype but telling a story and creating connection through music.

How he keeps his sets fresh
By digging through label releases and staying in tune with the underground. Trends don’t drive him. Authenticity does. When you find others who share your niche, that shared passion becomes the real currency.

Local inspirations
The Indigo/Wax crew — Muski, Patient, and Flash — consistently bring the energy. He’s also fueled by watching friends like Georg and the artists behind L’Ambiance. Every set from them sparks something inside, a feeling that reminds him why this scene matters.

The payoff
It’s in the reactions. The smiling faces, the cheers, the hug from a friend after a set. That’s what it’s all about. The connection. The moment. The music.
