About this compilation : 
We are in a new era, a time that many say has come to connect with the sacred feminine energy and sow the seed of healing to the wounded masculine energies. It is time to reconnect with the mother energy and ancestral wisdom, leave our fears behind and wake up all together.
In "Cantos a la Madre" (Chants to the Mother) each artist presents a vision of the concept of "mother" in their own "chant", forming a multilingual compilation that investigates the development of a new electronic music in harmony with the lyrical tradition of different cultures. It includes songs in native languages of South America such as Quechua and more unusual musical experiments in German, Ukrainian, Hebrew, as well as many in Spanish, English and more. 

With a large femenine presence plus the invitation to work in a mixed way between women and men, the album is an attempt to take electronic music one step further, rescuing the use of the human voice and, as well, reflecting on this broad and wonderful concept of ¨the mother¨, a concept that is transversal to all living beings on this planet.

All donations on bandcamp will go directly to the artists, heavily affected by the closure of all live shows for a long time. We invite the public to listen and collaborate with this project with the intention that any help, whether in donations or simply by sharing this album (that’s free!), is in itself a little but important seed for the rebirth of this art and part of its community.

We hope you enjoy this release with a flavor of folktronica, downtempo, house and experimental, created with endless love as a musical jewel to delight not only the ears, but also the heart and soul.

There are no doubts that Nicolas Jaar is a legend, that Andara is gold, but regarding Carminho, whom most of you probably do not know, she is one of the most amazing Fado singers alive, and my very favorite female singer for many years . It's hard to put in words the magic of her voice, the soul and perfection of her singing, and most of all, the heritage of Portugal and Humanity that Fado music represents. We are delighted for having such piece of art and sharing it with the Downtempo Community.

Thank you beloved Andara, you never stop bringing light, art and Love to our lives on a daily basis and we could not imagine life or Octo without you!

I was missing something, so I made a return to my downtempo roots with this EP for Amselcom.

These 4 songs are the music I hear when I close my eyes and drift away. These are the soundtracks of my daydreams.

John Cobalt's deer photograph perfectly captures my feelings of curiosity and trepidation which led me to the release of this EP.

Cariñito is a peruvian cumbia classic, written by Ángel Aníbal Rosado, interpreted by the Peruvian group Los Hijos del Sol, and edited by Wanduta, as part of Handed Edit - HE(LP).

HE(LP) is a 2020, edits only album by Wanduta :
12 months, 12 countries, 12 tracks, available the last week of each month. Every track will be an edit of a song from a different country.
A free participation download link will be available on Bandcamp, and 100% of the benefits will be donated to a charity organization of the country where the original song is from. 
For this one, the Charity association who will receive donations is "Qosoqo Maki", a peruvian based organization dedicated to help children from the street receive the same education than wealthier children. Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

THERE once lived, in Fanti-land, a man named Father Anansi. He possessed all the wisdom in the world. People came to him daily for advice and help.  One day the men of the country were unfortunate enough to offend Father Anansi, who immediately resolved to punish them. After much thought he decided that the severest penalty he could inflict would be to hide all his wisdom from them. He set to work at once to gather again all that he had already given. When he had succeeded, as he thought, in collecting it, he placed all in one great pot. This he carefully sealed, and determined to put it in a spot where no human being could reach it. Many-many years later MAUGLI identified the hidden pot and came into light with the wisdom of creating unforgettable and emotional dreams in a shape of-what is called today-music. He can be found in the shadows of Berlin. This is his first offering for Shango Records and comes with a remix by M.RUX. These two tracks whisper loudly but scream quietly.
