Evolution

One Year.

That’s how long it took me to make this mix. I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to make this but it did. I guess I had what some call “writer’s block.”

It was extremely difficult to find any inspiration to mix anymore. I don’t really know what happened but I just couldn’t do it, to some extent I felt like all my equipment and stuff was mocking me.

Over the course of a year, I tried over an over to make something new and innovative but nothing really captured “the feels.” I really thought my DJing had peaked, or whatever you wanna call it.

It wasn’t until a few days ago did I start feeling what I once had…

I stopped trying to create something completely new and revolutionary and tried to create something that was… well, me.

I looked back on this past year and tried to capture those experiences in this mix. I guess you can call the mix my legacy.

Normally, I would include a tracklist or whatever but with this one, I’ve decided to leave it out. I feel like it would take away from the listening experience.

The artists featured in the mix are some that keep me hopeful for the future of electronic music.

Some of these artists include: Above & Beyond, Porter Robinson, Seven Lions, Mat Zo, Naden, just to name a few…

Anyways, that’s enough ranting for one day, it’s getting late… but I hope you enjoy the mix and hopefully it won’t take me another year to make another one.
