Fortitude Valley Brisbane - EDM & Hip-Hop (Multi Genre)

MsGains developed her passion for djing when attending many of the Dubstep events over the years around Fortitude Valley Brisbane where she is based. She played B2B show with S7evn in June 2021. After 4 years in this scene she branched out to Hardstyle and took up on the hard dance styles including muzzing and hakking which drew her into djing this genre.

Today MsGains is primarily a HipHop DJ who mixes popular tunes incl Drake, Creeds, Cardi B, Tyga, Central Cee, Kendrick Lamar and Juice World to name a few. 

After successfully getting through as a contestant in Yourshot 2022, she performed her Hardstyle set at Birdees in September. MsGains since scored a spot on the line up for Movement ARCANES event that was in October 2022.

In following, she was asked to play at Uberjak’d & Mates event in SA and performed as a guest at the IKONIC Launch on the 17.12.22 (Woolly Mammoth) & that day also played at Prohibition for Subliminal’s Summer Festival!

Jan 2023 - Powercruise

April 2023 - Played on a boat for brentybrah

June 2023 - Private birthday party at MooMoos restaurant

July 2023 - 21st birthday party at Jamie's Espresso Bar (Private function)

August 2023 - Prepared a mix for 'The World's official radio station - Super Radiomix; Ink' O'Holics', I turned this into my ‘Listen Out Pre Mix’

November 2023 - Played at the Dusty Moose Saloon (4 hr set) 'Fight night after party'. They asked me to play another gig 23.12.23 although, I wasn’t in the state so am looking forward to future opportunities

The reason I write big, scary music about Death is because it scares me the most... hence why I picked up the name “Esphyxia” from Asphyxia (to be deprived of oxygen; suffocate)
I almost drowned and Asphyxiated in a pool as a kid, 
so living to see the blessings life gives after is why I make music... to give back. 
Without music… I suffocate
Until my last dying breath, I will share my love for the world and music 😷❤️

•’The story of Esphyxia is that he is someone who lives in a world that he is too familiar with.. but not a part of… making him maladjusted… unable to cope with the norms of society. He has set himself apart from the rest… in the hopes to free himself from the confines that everyone else shackles and slaves themselves to… wearing a gas mask as to not breathe in their poisonous gas… which permeates the very land. 
He is a nomad.. a lone wolf… in this desolate wasteland we call Earth. He does not partake as the world partakes. 
But yet… he has a kindled fire in him to help spread love in the world… despite the darkness and death 
He will stop at nothing to bring peace and balance to the non-pragmatic ether he lives in… forging himself to be someone who can inspire and overcome
He has faced many deaths… but he knows one who is greater than Death, itself ✝️,•

I’m losing my hearing.. so I’m sorry if my music doesn’t sound the best or harsh 😅
