The Trail Of Evidence You'd Kill To Hide [ML11_2]

This particular media music sketch was inspired by film music common to scenes scored in mid 20th century Hollywood productions, similar to the orchestration styles of Henry Mancini, Walter Scharf, dancer Gene Kelly, and others.

Sonified for a brief that might include scoring for a high-end Jazz Blues Bar, using the piano as a central instrument, and sweetened with strings and woodwinds, giving the feeling of a fun mystery just beginning between the characters.

Pool Life Summer [Installation composite]

Fractals are the tiny design cells that are replicated upon themselves in  self-similar patterns to build bigger, more complex forms. They exist in nature, and are used in CGI environment designs. Musically, they might be the 3 or 4 note melodic cell that is expanded to create an intricate melodic form.

That is the idea I began working with when creating soundscapes for visual artist Gabriele Worgitzki's visual installations. Worgitzki employs a camera technique, that she developed, that is akin to ghost writing still pictures in succession to emulate dream-like movement.

This particular track is from a composition that was designed to accompany a visual journey into the Black Forest... a forest, I can personally attest, that has not yet shed its ghost memories of WWII.
