I finished this album the year I graduated high school. This was the transformation from slower, darker and melancholy trip-hop to more aggressive and spacier breakbeat & big beat sounds. This was before I had any MIDI controllers or digital equipment... this was made on a Pentium 4 machine with a mouse and QWERTY keyboard.

A simple piece I wrote in code using an Arduino as a monosynth and another as a MIDI sequencer.

"Slow Motion" drifts through a dreamlike haze, blending deep wub-heavy bass with distorted guitar riffs, intricate drum textures, and shimmering synthetic melodies. Hypnotic vocal chops weave through the mix, guiding the listener through a warped, time-stretched soundscape. I started work on this in 2010, which makes the gestation of this a record (for me, for now) 7 (seven) years (this amuses me given my last release took 30 minutes). An earlier version appeared on 2011's MANGA MUSIC mixtape, which was commissioned by Manga Entertainment to mark their 20th anniversary. This final March 2017 deadline, however, was enforced by the release of The Hollywood LIve Action Movie, so whether or not its any good, I am thankful to it for that at least.
