yeah, yeah, this guy's a fake asriel secret boss, the drsc equivalent of a dead horse so well beat it's been rendered a stain on the ground, especially back during the fake leak craze of late 2023.

I didn't actually intend for this guy to be this take's secret boss from the start, though. the take initially had a different boss idea, which I slowly grew less and less interested in with time (something that seems to happen every time I make a deltarune take lol). If I were to make a chapter 4 for this set of songs, I'd reuse that idea for that chapter's secret boss. 

I think I was about to scrap the take altogether when out of the blue my friend bonnie made a set of songs based on an old song I had made for a fake asriel sb concept back in september 2023. those songs were so good, gears started turning in my head with ideas for how to incorporate them into the take I had going. 

I ran through a few ideas, before landing on this creepy edgelord. his whole deal is that they're a darkner influenced by the memories kris has of asriel, the desire they have to be like him, kris' perceptions of ralsei and the adventure they're on, etc. he's fairly sans-like in his demeanor and how they know more than they let on (and in his outfit, too. I gave him the chair coat because the messiness of the chair gif when you click on it on the website fits their messy existence, and because whenever I gave him a red coat it didn't fit him so I'm just going to give them the coat that already exists in canon and is (presumedly) related to the secret bosses). as such, I made the decision to make him use the blue soul over the purple soul. also, they use he/they because he's simultaniously a combination of memories of asriel and kris. 

their quirk is also inspired by chara's love of the number nine (cuz chara/kris parallels) and also by kankri's typing quirk from homestuck. I thought the idea was neat. 

I hope you like this guy, because this is probably the first time I've liked a secret boss oc of mine this much. also his name is the way it is because ariel was taken.
