When I walk at dawn in spring through one of my usual birding areas, there is a moment when I am sorrounded by rainbow of colors and fluted trills. It is the neighborhood of the bee-eaters.

So after 18 months, 50 musicians, artists and poets, 100’s of files, several innocent bystanders and of course some beautiful dogs and cats and I am proud to announce the debut album from Then She Reaches For The Gun.

La F. R. de 1789 est considérée comme l'un des tournants politico-sociaux les plus importants de l'histoire européenne. Elle a aboli le pouvoir absolutiste et les prérogatives de la noblesse et de l'Église et les a remplacés par l'état civil. Les causes de la R. The F. R. of 1789 is considered one of the most important political-social turning points in European history. It abolished the absolutist rule and the prerogatives of the nobility and the church and replaced them with the bourgeoisie. The reason for the F. R. were profound social and economic grievances (famines, insolvency of the Internal Link:State es). The French National Assembly, which adopted the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen in 1789, was the supporting element of the F. R. In 1793, the goals of the F. R. were summed up in the demand for Internal Link:Liberty , Internal Link:Equality , Fraternity (Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité) and became a slogan that was carried far beyond FRA and had an impact in almost all European states. The ban on the slogan in the Prussian Rhine provinces continues to have an effect today in the civic carnival and the magic number ELF (Égalité, Liberté, Fraternité), which could not be banned: Why else should the revolt of the fools (= citizens) always start on 11.11. at 11 o'clock 11?

'Light The Candle Please' is fusion of Jazz/Fusion/Rock and Ambient. Not inspired by anything in particular and just what appears from the imagination sometimes. This is definitely one of those moments.
I have replaced the original file as Georg Boehme has replaced the original Tenor Sax solo. So thank you Georg for this wonderful addition . Also doubling the brass parts near the begining and also the end section. I am priviledged indeed to have your superb playing involved once again, so a big thank you.

Hello… so have you ever noticed certain things about yourself that never change? This song, ‘Just Like I Always Do’ is about that very thing. I found myself  outside the other day, playing with rivulets of snow melt. Making channels with a rake, for the water to run down and I laughed… my feet were soaking wet and I was having a grand old time. Reminded me of a time in kindergarten, when I arrived late to school, soaked to the bone, as I was playing in the rain along the way. So that playful side of me has not changed at all. I also noticed, like flowing water, how vital it is for me to keep moving. A fluidity when it comes to living and learning about life. Recently, singing has been like that for me. Bear with me on this. A little backstory: As a kid, I had a brief stint in my middle school choir. I did not want to join the choir, that’s for sure. The music teacher had picked us out, after brief singing auditions. After our first performance, my mother, God rest her soul, told me I did not have to go back to choir anymore, if I did not want to. Out of the 50 kids on stage, I was the only one not singing. I just looked down so no one could see my mouth… except my eagle-eyed mom. Simple as that, I was done with it. There were other things I wanted to do as a precociously rebellious kid, running around the neighborhood, as it were. Now, half a century later, I have been learning to sing on my own. It has not been easy uncovering that latent voice of mine. Looking back, sometimes I wish I had stuck with it as a kid. So about a decade or so ago, this dude I worked with asked me if I’d show him some stuff on guitar. His mom was a musician and music teacher and he grew up with music in his life. He was always singing and playing guitar. As we hung out, he noticed I never sang and asked me why. After basically dodging his question, he told me the only thing stopping me from singing was me. Talk about a hard lesson to swallow. So now, bringing us up to speed, I had some fun exploring my nascent singing voice on this song. The image is of me and Garnet running the hills in early Spring.
