Despite being physically blind, Baba Ji achieved amazing feats with the blessings of Guru Sahib. It is a commonly known fact that Baba Ji had all of Sri Aadh, Dasam Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Suraj Parkash and many other Granths off by heart, which they taught to countless Vidhiarthis. Baba Ji did Katha Seva for 50 years sitting in the charan of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji at Takhat Sri Harmandir Ji (Sri Patna Sahib).

ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! (ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਉੱਤੇ) ਮੇਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਕਰ, ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਦਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾ ਲੈ, (ਦਾਸ ਦੀ) ਬਾਂਹ ਫੜ ਕੇ (ਦਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਹ ਦੇ) ਖੂਹ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਲੈ ।ਰਹਾਉ।
Be Merciful, God, and bless me with Your Glance of Grace; take my arm and save me - pull me up out of this pit! ||Pause||

ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰਿ ਅੰਧ ਮਾਇਆ ਕੇ ਬੰਧ ਅਨਿਕ ਦੋਖਾ ਤਨਿ ਛਾਦਿ ਪੂਰੇ ॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਕਾਮ ਕੋ੍ਰਧ (ਆਦਿਕ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ) ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ (ਜੀਵ) ਅੰਨੇ੍ਹ ਹੋਏ ਪਏ ਹਨ, ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਬੰਧਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਫਸੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ, ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਵਿਕਾਰ (ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ) ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਪੂਰੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਪਾਈ ਬੈਠੇ ਹਨ ।
He is blinded by sexual desire and anger, bound by Maya; his body and clothes are filled with countless sins.

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਿਨਾ ਆਨ ਨ ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਿਮਰਾਵਹੁ ਸਰਨਿ ਸੂਰੇ ॥੧॥
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੈਥੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ (ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਰਾਖੀ ਕਰਨ ਜੋਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ । ਹੇ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਆਇਆਂ ਦੀ ਲਾਜ ਰੱਖ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲੇ! ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਾ ।੧।
Without God, there is no other protector; help me to chant Your Name, Almighty Warrior, Sheltering Lord. ||1||

ਪਤਿਤ ਉਧਾਰਣਾ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਤਾਰਣਾ ਬੇਦ ਉਚਾਰ ਨਹੀ ਅੰਤੁ ਪਾਇਓ ॥
ਹੇ ਵਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ! ਹੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ! ਵੇਦਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਭੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕੇ ।
Redeemer of sinners, Saving Grace of all beings and creatures, even those who recite the Vedas have not found Your limit.

Jal Thal Neer Bhara, Raag Malhaar (Bhai Amarjit Singh Ji Hayes Wale)

Born at village Mulla Hamza in Montgomery District (now in Pakistan) in 1900 A.D., Bhai Samund Singh was given training in music by his father Bhai Hazur Singh Ji from his early child-hood. As a little boy he won a number of prizes and distinctions at musical concerts. He came to be known as 'Kaka Samund Singh' and was much in demand at Sikh congregations. His party came to be known as the best in the understanding of their art and almost perfect in presentation of Gurbani Kirtan. With his unique melo-dious voice, an extensive and deep understanding of Gur-bani, correct interpretation of ragas, attractive style of sing-ing and great human qualities, he reigned supreme for sixty years in the world of Gurbani Kirtan. He performed kirtan at the Gurdwara Janam Sthan, Sri Nankana Sahib, the birth place of Guru Nanak Dev, for many years. He broadcast kirtan for 36 years from All India Radio, Lahore and later from Jalandhar and commanded wide listening. Passers-by stopped in the streets to listen to his kirtan irrespective of their faith. He was invited to perform kirtan in the National Programme of Music by All India Radio, the highest recognition of his art. He was given State award by the Punjab Government in 1971. He passed away at Ludhiana (5th January, 1972).
