Looking back at what inspired me at the launch of the show 4 yrs ago, it continues to astound me how much things have evolved & how far I’ve come in my own growth as an artist and an individual who’s always had an intense appreciation for the beauty & bliss that is found in diversity. Undercurrents is not just a personal diary of sorts, but it also represents a continuous forward-moving medium, where relentless risk taking and deep exploration is embraced.

BIO:
Secret Factory is one of the most ambitious duo of the Hungarian electronic music scene who have very deep roots in the genre. Through almost 20 years of cooperation they represented no compromises in musicality, rather they express experimental and avant-garde characteristics.

Their unique and eclectic style is the reason why they can cover a wider audience of the techno subculture, and thanks to this they are perfect in warming up the dancefloor before the headliners or finishing the rave after them. Because of this capability they are an absolute must for the biggest Hungarian clubs, as well as the biggest festivals, such as Sziget Festival, B My Lake or Balaton Sound.

The cooperation of Andris and Balázs expands beyond their musical project: their joint club series called Secret Fusion rules the Hungarian scene for 18 years now. Their experimental characteristics also define the club nights by responding to the new tendencies of the techno genre. 

After all the preparation made their newest common project, Secret Fusion Records will be launched shortly.

About:
Cie is living in Cologne and started producing music back in the nineties. After a few years he released his first records on labels like Deep and Dark Recordings and Broque. A part of his work between House and Techno was used as soundtrack for the well known TV
broadcast "Spacenight" on German Television. After his EP "Auf Los" 2018 on Form&Terra records he also started working on making remixes for labels like Off Records, Modart Music and Evosonic Records. Due to his love to hardware synthesizers he became a
member of the live project called "Drehkommando" which performs improvisational techno without any scripts. But he is also playing live as one man show and is presenting his own tracks in his live show. Here you can listen to his latest live set he performed at the radio station 674.fm in the Stromton show. He presents his latest tracks including his new vinyl release "Adventures", with a remix by Oliver Hess. The record was just released on Form&Terra Records and is now available at decks.de, deejay.de and in your favorite record store.

Karl Kirschmayer – one of the highlights regarding Mecklenburg’s electronic dance music culture.

As a passionate musician and later as a part of Intense Music he started up spinning records in the early years of the new century. In these former times he created his own fussy and house-based style. First gig’s showed that Karl, behind the decks, just wanted to let himself go - influenced by his tracks, their careful collection and his mixing.

During the last years he participated in different projects, such as “Buntes Treiben” or his actual one “VmF – Vögeln mit Freunden”. The creative work and a lot of cooperation with regional and international acts led to a smooth change in Karl’s sounds as well as his activities as a producer. Spreading his Mixes from Mecklenburg into the world of clubs, open airs and festivals of northern Germany and foreign countries he created a new period in his musical life. Nowadays he represents a deep and/or tech-based, powerful and melodic sound. There is no typical “Kirschmayer-Sound” – it is more like he keeps his mixes constantly fresh and changed by a big pool of new impressions.

As I exit a 7 year marriage and move into single life in a huge city where I know next to nobody, I've been grappling with a challenging but epic transition period. I have reached the conclusion that I have everything I need right here inside my head and in my immediate surroundings. I am unperturbed by external circuimstances although open to any cool shit/people that may or may not come my way. This mix represents this philosophy that I have adopted and will serve as a reminder to me of this choice. Real shit that does not conform.
