Uruguayan DJ/Producer Diego Infanzon is one of Latin America’s most promising exports. During the pandemic, Diego’s productions entered a newfound depth of creativity and genre-fluid experimentalism, which saw him featured on the most recent various artists’ compilation on Anja Schneider’s Sous Music Imprint. Diego returns with an emphatic duo of freshly squeezed cuts, joined by Kneaded Pains frontmen Dense & Pika on remix duties on the B-side of his ‘Ohh My Music’ EP. 
 
‘Ohh My Music’ opens the release with a chorus of hard-hitting grooves and riveting vocality, laced with house-inspired piano lines and extravagant musicality from start to finish, embodying a certified peak-time dancefloor stomper. 

‘Thank You For My Children’ comes next, bringing more soulful bottom-heavy vibes from the outset accompanied by hypnotic layers of reverberated arpeggiation and non-conformist beat structures. 

The release closes on Dense & Pika’s head-turning take on ‘Thank You For My Children’, blending elements of house and techno with glitchy sonics loosely reminiscent of the duo’s iconic ‘Colt’ vibes - loaded with chunky beats, cleverly placed rides, huge bass notes and so much more.

Liverpool lads Zac Fitzsimmons and Tony Burns are two of the most industrious producers in the business, pumping out Matrefakt releases on Shall Not Fade, Edible, Of Unsound Mind, Circus, Trick and their own Attitude to Life label over the past few years. 'Burn' EP, Matrefakt’s third release for Anja Schneider’s Sous Music, finds the pair in characteristic fine form. 
 
The title track hits the ground running, announcing itself with a wallopping kick, tickling hi-hats and a juddering bassline that guides the listener towards a festival-ready confection of hypnotic bleeps and chunky beats. 
 
'Rock' takes on a vaguely tribal flavour with circular drum patterns designed to move hips, snatched vocal samples and delicious guitar licks invoking the funk of millennium-era French touch.
 
They change tack again on 'Crystal', which oscillates between big-room techno and Moroder-esque space disco to dramatic effect. It’s darker than the previous two cuts, perfect for soundtracking early morning journeys inward and again demonstrating Matrefakt’s remarkable range. 
 
Venezuelan-born, Colombian-based producer Confidential Recipe (Rekids) turns in an eyes-down remix of 'Burn', stripping the bassline out of the original to create a more intense afterhours energy.
 
Hot off the back of a recent appearance at Creamfields, Matrefakt’s Watergate debut in March and mixes for Peggy Gou’s Gudu Records and Sarah Story’s Future Dance show on BBC Radio1, Matrefakt are poised for the big time. 
 
Of their latest release on Sous, the duo say, “the label is really becoming a home for us and we are made to feel so welcome by everyone every time. We are also really happy to have Confidential Recipe on the remix for this release, we know Anja is a big fan of what he does and we are too!”
 
Sous is delighted to present the latest package of bonafide bangers from these stars in the making.

Spider's Web is a real tension builder with loopy chords and pumping drums working to a rapturous peak that locks the crowd in a groove and keeps them begging for more. 

No Distractions has heavy, hard hitting drums setting the mood only for a load of happy chords and cosmic keys to stretch out to the heavens and get the hi tech soul flowing. 

Last of all this red hot trio link with Culture Jam for a sweaty analogue drum work out with steamy vocal stabs and cantering kicks all piling on the pressure. 

This is throwback, high intense house music with warmth and soul to spare.

A six-track release, ‘Fun Is Fun’ opens with the infectious, synth-driven title track, with a dub version and ‘Mamacita version’ also making it onto the record. Next up, ‘Dancefloor Anarchy’ is a similarly slick cut, while ‘Kill Your Friends’ is 140bpm and harnesses a killer bassline and unnerving scream sample to devastating effect.  

“The title track ‘Fun Is Fun’ is a heavy bassline track, meant as a provocative poem, or as a joke you tell your friends who DJ,” Kessler explains. “When I did this track I was smiling because it’s my message not to take yourself too serious in this business. I think that's a big problem all over this scene.”

UNCAGE label owner Marco Faraone is back on Rekids with three massive soulful cuts entitled ‘True Love EP’.

Hailing from Tuscany, Faraone has risen to become one of Italy’s leading house and techno artists over the last fifteen years. When not performing at the likes of Awakenings, Caprices, Tomorrowland and Kappa FuturFestival, the producer has released on leading labels like Ovum, Drumcode and Be As One. Since debuting on Rekids two years ago he’s become a notable fixture on the Berlin-based imprint, dropping numerous releases including his sophomore album, and he returns again now in fine form.

Opening the release in a big way, ‘True Love’ is built on galloping kicks, rattling shakers and a murky bass throb whilst a distorted vocal sings the track title. A cacophony of percussion then joins deep synths in ‘Want Me’ before introducing a powerful diva vox, leading into ‘Safari’ with its bubbling effects, piercing stabs and swinging hats.

Marco Faraone - True Love

A new name to watch out for, is Matrefakt. With releases on Skream’s Of Unsound Mind imprint, they make a debut on Sous with a remix that takes you on a groovy magical journey. Its vibey, daytime dance at its best, stripping out the original motifs and teasing the vocal for maximum effect.
