Ōme is a Mexican musician, DJ, producer and sound designer, founder of “Mexiko collective”. He dedicates his life to sound production and design for film, performance and advertising. 

Kris Berle has been part of the electronic music scene for over 10  years. 
She believes music should be appreciated in different ways and the broad spectrum of  genres existing worldwide has allowed her to explore different fields both as a Dj and  producer.

Dissonance is a collaboration created in Mexico City between Kris and Ōme’s studio where they played with their different instruments. The sound they created together brought distinctive melodies that ended up in dissonant frequencies that somehow were pleasant to the ear. “It is the interplay between consonance and dissonance that makes music enjoyable to listen to.”

ITAI is an electronic music artist and saxophonist whose magical style is a wide range of sounds from downtempo to upbeat techno infusing multiple genres with electronic beats.

Based in America, ITAI has travelled the world with his unique live set that includes live Saxophone, EWI, Piano and other instruments played live incorporating the looper as a tool to create in the moment melodies. ITAI has released music on prestigious record labels ranging from The Soul Brothers' Talavera Records to Laroz's Camel Riders. He is a daydreamer whose music often takes influence from his travels and the different cultures he has experienced.

The Teddy Bear Lounge is a record label set up by ITAI to be an outlet for his own productions, and the imprint's debut series of releases is a musical story titled "The Unfinished Project." Each release is a chapter in the story, and will culminate as a collection that will enrapture mind, body and soul.

"Speedy Gonzales" is the 6th chapter in the Unfinished series, and it's inspired by his trips to Central America where he visited places like Mexico and Panama. Inspired by the hot climates and Latino culture, Speedy Gonzales has a sun-drenched sound that warms up the dance floor with its upbeat rhythms.

It's a downtempo track, but the flowing percussion and flamenco style guitars fill the groove with offbeat energy that creates a feel-good vibe. ITAI has road-tested different versions of the track in his live performances, and every time the crowd has gone wild with excitement.

Speedy Gonzales opens with a funky bassline and vibrant percussion augmented with whistles and vocal chants. The track unfolds to present flamenco guitars cut by filters to create a trippy atmosphere. Panpipes add to the hip-shaking vibe of this musical masterpiece, which is guaranteed to get people up and dancing.

Wondrous and intriguing, deep and oh so captivating. ‘I just wanted to Fly’, our newest release here on YION, will move you one way or the other. Spoken word flows freely over genre-border-defying synth stabs and a bass-heavy groove in this collaboration between well-established Berlin DJ and producer Fabian Krooss and label-co-head Yannek Maunz. And what a great track to get the cold limbs moving to.

Hailing from Istanbul, Safak Oz Kutle, also known as Oceanvs Orientalis, is a true maestro at crafting hypnotic, evolving sounds while blending a diverse mix of Turkish, Kurdish, Arabic and Armenian influences. Unfolding after a busy year of performances at venues across the globe, including a notable appearance at Crosstown Rebels’ Rebel Rave at Club Space Miami, he now combines his signature downtempo sound with the talents of Italian native Tooker, a partnership two years in the making. With their joint creation teased across their sets, both artists now unveil their first collaboration on the label with the soul-stirring, ‘II Lupo’ including a remix from Damian Lazarus’ longstanding friend, Acid Pauli.

“The story of ‘Il Lupo’ dates back approximately two years. My friend Christopher (Tooker) visited my studio in Istanbul. After some casual conversation, we ended up discussing the Turkish expression “The wolf has had a taste of blood”, which we occasionally used in our conversations. While I explained the meaning of the expression in detail, Chris suddenly grabbed a pen and paper and began jotting down the lyrics. In a matter of seconds, he transformed the expression into a song (such a talent!). Following that, I started writing the bassline and chord progressions, and we spent the evening manipulating and creating various atmospheres. The sexy and somewhat eerie Italian lyrics he wrote and recited, combined with the sounds of wolves in the background, resulted in a real wolf story.” - Oceanvs Orientalis.

‘II Lupo’ weaves a haunting atmosphere through ethereal synthlines, echoing wolf howls and low rumbling drum hits, transporting you to a realm of intrigue and allure. Infusing his unique touch, Acid Pauli adds an extra layer of sonic flare to the release by layering cosmic stabs and shimmering chimes, enriching the melodic experience.

Artwork Note: The singles and forthcoming LP project will feature artwork from French new realism artist Alain Jacquet, husband of Sophie Matisse of the iconic Matisse family, whose work having moved to New York in the 1960s led to material featured in collections such as MOMA, the Smithsonian American Arts Museum, The National Gallery of Australia and more. His first exhibition in NYC was with Alexandre Lolas, before later showcasing his work to famous gallerist Leo Castelli, which opened dialogue with Roy Lichenstein who was inspired by his work, and also Andy Warhol’s ‘Camouflage’ work 20 years later. The first single, ‘Il Lupo’, features Jacquet’s ‘Oyster Eater (1985)’ - a canvas whereon “a monkey’s face stretches from pole to pole, while nearby two halves of an oyster shell mime the irregular contours and whitish tints of clouds”.
