VIKEN ARMAN Live Set @ KaterBlau - 2014

Huge thanks to White Ocean for making one of my dreams a reality. This year was my very first Burn… And if you met me on the playa, you know how much fun I had! For those who know me well, this experience was really powerful. I discovered a new part of myself, artistically and socially. And this set at White Ocean was very special. I was supposed to play a 3 hours live set but for many reasons I wasn’t able to do so…  So I improvised a kind of hybrid set remixing and editing some tracks in live. I had never done such a thing before and it was totally insane! Right after I started a big dust storm hit the playa and we couldn't see a thing but it was unbelievable! So epic! The crowd was insane! It probably was the craziest set in my entire life! I will never forget this one. There is so much to say… Just be there.

We're very happy to share with you a snippet of tunes from our 5-hour set on the beach at Maxa Camp!  It was just wonderful to spend the day on our favorite beach playing music to such a fantastic crowd.  We journeyed gradually from old funk, reggae, and Brazilian songs to the deeper dancey vibe you'll hear in this mix.  The day ended dramatically, with a surprise rainstorm, mini party in the DJ booth, and a giant rainbow to top it all off!  Huge thanks to the folks at Maxa for welcoming us <3

Friday at sunset, Burning Man 2018, an impressive number of humans gathered with us in front of Bjarke Ingels’ installation THE ORB. Under the guidance of Eva Kaczor and her PSYCHEDELIC BREATH, we shifted into a state of non-ordinary consciousness, experiencing deeply what it means to be human and go beyond.

Spring reaches out to us and while we find ourselves in restrictive situations, the ideas to overcome problems are blossoming. 

This set was recorded live from my studio in the Netherlands for The Gardens of Babylon Isolation Party. All tracks are work in progress and sound different every time. You might recognize some elements from the #30daychallenge or from recent shows. I hope you enjoy! :) <3
