AKUMMIKA - SAKURA

AKUMMIKAis a two piece ambient, indietronica post rock band based in Nagaland, India. 

They are both well established musicians having performed across the country and abroad who have come together to produce new fresh, pulsating melody combined with Dj Sumika's diverse sounds and synths powered by Akum’s creativity in generating riffs and guitar tones. 

The band took cognizance with their live shows in Dimapur ‘Upstairs’ where the band introduced their new fresh music and quickly escalated to gathering a fan following in the State by performing in popular events such as The 2015 World Music Day celebrated in Dimapur, Cosfest and Oztronic.

The band has already come up with an original set comprising of catchy songs filled with textures and arrangements which encompass traditional genres to incorporate a new age musical style combining EDM and rock. 

Being the pioneers of indietronica post-rock in the region, Akum & Sumika is set to unleash a whole new paradigm of music which promises to deliver powerful live sets and targeted to produce an EP very soon.
