Akuratyde made his debut on BMTM with 2015’s reverb soaked Embrace EP, a love letter to the heyday of autonomic and an introspective work focused on the musician’s life and personal struggles. After enduring a series of family losses Akuratyde returned to the label in 2018 with his emotional debut album, Past Lives, a heartfelt body of work created around the narrative thread of love and loss. He followed this up shortly after with his third release on BMTM, 2019’s One Hundred Steps EP, which saw Akuratyde collaborating with Russian minimal drum & bass pioneer Bop. 

2020 saw the artist carving out his own path, unleashing his dark jungle & techno alias Vex Seven and debuting the 3VS collective. He also founded his Modern Conveniences imprint, with music by autonomic godfather Kid Drama and BMTM favorite RQ. Additionally, he teamed up with fellow producer Monika to create the dancefloor-focused Monika & Akuratyde project with releases on Fokuz Recordings and Soulvent Records. In 2021 he returns to BMTM with his second album, Home Movies, a melancholy reflection on his younger years and a comment on modern culture's obsession with surface and gratification. 

'Home Movies' sees Akuratyde pushing his songwriting further than before, collaborating with vocalists for the first time as a solo artist and with an increased focus on his trademark dreamy synthesizer melodies, subtle guitar stylings, and glitched-out rhythms.

Conversations With Ghosts is Akuratyde’s most personal album yet. For several months he experienced a recurring dream in which his deceased father would visit and discuss  the life events his father had missed since his passing. Deeply moved by these visions, Akuratyde channeled the feelings of wistfulness and sorrow into a full-length concept album about love, heartbreak, longing, and acceptance. Conversations With Ghosts is unabashedly honest, confronting grief to create something beautiful and timeless.

Akuratyde’s Deleted Scenes EP is a collection of unique and diverse material written during the sessions for his albums Past Lives and Home Movies. Some are outtakes, some were left unfinished until recently, but their exclusion from those albums doesn’t detract from the high quality of these compositions.

The EP begins with “All We Need”, co-written with US drum & bass producer Justin Hawkes. Originally signed to Hospital Records this warm and lush track has finally found a home with this release. “Spring Walk” playfully draws inspiration from other BMTM producers like Frederic Robinson and Kimyan Law. “Panorama” pulls the listener deeper with its glossy nostalgic synthwave melodies courtesy of the elusive Croms. Closing track “Suffer In Silence” features Akuratyde’s trademark melancholy guitar melodies and was written for his aunt who tragically passed away in 2015.

Deleted Scenes is available worldwide on Jan. 27th.
