In celebration of our 3 year anniversary, we present to you our annual VVAA compilation featuring some of our favorite artists.

Representing a sound that elevates the very definition of whole-heartedness to house music, TRES is a 10-track collection of all the values we continue to stand by and operate on. From Tour-Maubourg's cut-throat dynamism on 'Destination', Caleb Jackson's unapologetically sexy 'Party Plasma', Max Living's intricately contemplative take on 'Do You Need Me', and Naajet's explosive 'Start to Move', we bring together our most exciting newcomers to Aterral's family.

On the return are Ruff Stuff with his infectious energy on 'Rubber Ear', Black Loops with an intensely nostalgic 'I'm Not Crying, You Are', fan-favorite duo Baloo and Carlo with a ruthlessly minimal 'Maracuja', Denaila with a tech-savvy work out on 'The Art In The Morning', Nephews' sample-saturated 'Slingshot', and Emanuele Barilli's tantalizing 'Du Bist Dub'.

DJ SNEAK on Toy Tonics! Yes. It’s happening. 
Another US legend joins the German house label. After Kai Alcé (EP on Toy Tonics in September 2023) and Joe Claussell who did an amazing remix for the label some time ago, now it’s DJ Sneak. 
It makes sense as Toy Tonics stands for that funky mix of three main inflences: original amercian soul based house music, the italo disco heritage and the more London or Paris 1990ies wildstyle house sound. DJ Sneak reached out to the label last year giving his props and showing love for many of Toy Tonics releases and the guys immediately invited him to join the label with an EP as it's also his sound that is getting so popular again with the younger dance generation. So here it is: 6 tracks (4 on the vinyl) that remind the classic, bumpin DJ Sneak sound. Full of energy and emotion. Perfect for the dance floors of today and great to introduce the maestro to the kids who love house now but never heard about the grandmasters.

Monologues boss Ben Gomori's edits of African classics for Sterns Edits and Africa Seven have won fans far and wide, with DJs from Optimo to Hunee, Folamour, Horse Meat Disco and TSHA getting behind them. He continues this acclaimed body of work with this new release, carving up two gems and adding a little juice to them in the process. First up, a joyous slice of 1980s Camerooon from Emmanuel Kahe Et Jeanette Kemogne on 'Ye Medjuie', where rousing trumpet refrains meet undulating bass funk. Then the deep dubby skank of Nigeria's Akaba Man & The African Pride's 'Popular Side' goes on a Metro Area-flavoured excursion with distorted Melodica blasts rubbing up against a sweet-but-trippy synth solo and haunting vox synths.

A new Toy Tonics EP. It’s the second by Venezuelan house DJ and producer Gee Lane. Including amazing remixes by NYC mainstay musclecars!

Gee Lane’s debut EP Metamorphosis (with remixes by Demi Riquísimo and Divorce From New York Remix & PIEK ) came out last October. 
But as Virginie (her real name) is a steady name of the Toy Tonics crew now and plays almost every weekend at one of the worldwide Toy Tonics Jams, it makes sense to put out a follow up fast.

Gee Lane originally from Caracas, now living in Barcelona, is a passionate DJ and vinyl digger with an extraordinary positive energy and attitude. A DJ diva in a positive way. A unique personality with a very strong style (in music but also as a person) and very elaborated ability to read and play with the dancers. Like the first EP, this one has also been recorded in Barcelona and Berlin with a little help from Robin Braum from Athlete Whippet. The music reflects well on her roots and passion for everything that came out of New York’s dance culture. You can hear influences from the 80ies promo disco scenes as well as the 90ies Body & Soul/ Francois Kervorkian / Joe Claussell universe. In fact, Gee Lane after being raised in Caracas and musically educated by her father from a very early age (a composer and musician), moved to New York at a very young age in the late 90ies, where she fell in love with the HOUSE scene. And especially everything that happened at the famous and influential 'Body & Soul' club. 

This culture increased her curiosity to become a DJ (and vinyl digger herself) who is not just interested in house music but wants to explore other genres such as funk, Hip-Hop, jazz and Latin sounds and include these vibes into her DJ sets. As vinyl collector (and long-time record shop employee) since then, she is known for her musical eclecticism, which leads her to mix everything she wants...

Mr. Sample is a revolutionary figure in the music industry, notorious for his unorthodox approach to creating music. Emerging from the underground music scene in the early 2000s, Mr. Sample quickly made a name for himself by exclusively using copyrighted material to craft his tracks and performances. This unique methodology not only showcased his exceptional skill in sampling and mixing but also ignited a continuous debate about copyright laws and artistic freedom.

Franco-Algerian musical nomad Elisa Elisa lands on Heist with a warehouse infused EP + a drum frenzied remix by Melé .

With a wild fusion of musical roots, Elisa Elisa has found her sound in emotive, percussion driven house. She uses her own vocals to add atmospheric depth to her tracks and with a knack for acid lines and driving chords, her tracks have the type of energy that could keep you going all night long. Her music first popped up on our radar after her releases on Heat Up (topping the charts with her debut release), and He.She.They with the track ‘Girl I got you’, that got rinsed by the Heist crew since its release. Her recent release on Melé’s Club Bad records, Panorama bar gigs and a feature in the book ‘Lady of the House’ about women in electronic music really helped cement her position as a rising voice in modern day dance music.

The ‘What about me’ EP kicks off with warehouse anthem ‘Lift me up’. Roughed up drums and toms set the pace while Elisa Elisa chants in loopy fashion ‘Our rhythm is moving’. It’s a fitting vocal for this track, that reaches its full energy when it breaks down into ravey stabs, uplifting vocal chops and a nasty acid line. 

Club-bad owner Melé is a man who knows his peaktime jams. It’s fitting that he was so enthusiastic about this release and chose to remix ‘You no good to me’,since he just released an EP by Elisa Elisa himself on his excellent ‘Club Bad’ imprint. His version is a bubbly electronic affair that has his worldly percussive style all over it. He cleverly chops Elisa Elisa’s vocal and adds layers and layers of tropical bad-assery ona track that grooves like Brazilian carnival and packs a punch like the Liverpool warehouse parties Melé grew up with.  

The original of ‘You no good to me’ takes a more stripped back approach and sees the artist dive into a rave-tinged drum workout with added vocal chops and a killer acid line. The EP closes off with “Whistle me”; a deep burner with a Midwest-inspired synth progression, and -of course- whistles.   

There’s a great crossover energy in Elisa Elisa’s debut on Heist between all the good things of house music, acid and African rhythms and we’re excited to have her on the label.
