Al has been playing guitar and composing songs for most of his life. Only in his recent history has recording and producing the music come to reality. "A home studio has been my direction for some time. To be able to create a piece of music and develop it through to the end has been such a totally satisfying experience".
 
His studio may be modest, from industry standards, but it's efficient enough to produce an excellent quality sound. "It's probably the most challenging part of creating music. It's one thing to come up with an idea and even hear it between your ears, but to follow it through from a production standpoint and keep that same idea alive is very challenging. Quite often a song will take on a life of it's own. You never really know where it's going. Some times you guide it, some times you just follow it".

Al plays electric, acoustic and bass guitars as well as some keyboard. Drums are produced from a Zoom RhythmTrak 234.  He records to a BR1600 digital recorder and uploads to Cakewalk for production.
