Pass The Bless is a collaboration album between Slovenian electronic duo Darla Smoking and
Austrian label Well Gedacht is presenting musicians, beatmakers, producers and rappers from
middle east and europe. Album includes Slovenian duo Darla Smoking, Turkish beatmaker, guitarist
and producer Levni, Palestinian rapper and producer Stormtrap Asifeh, Turkish rapper and producer

Ethnique Punch and Iranian rapper and beatmaker Naji.

This project came into being after the artists spent a 2-week artist residency Dvocikel in Layerjeva
Hiša (Kranj, Slovenia). There they experimented with different styles and sounds, using a wide range
of electronic and acoustic instruments at their disposal (including their own voices), resulting in a 10-
track album which crosses between dub, hip-hop, improvisation and experimental electronic genres.
The album is heavy with Arabic, Turkish, and Persian lyrics which explore different political, cultural,
and philosophical themes defying the current stagnant environment of politics and media at home
and abroad. The speed ranges from slow to fast and the tone satirical to serious, making for an
explosive journey which was born out of a passion for creating music, expressing oneself and

collaborating with one another, hence the name “Pass the Bless”.
