I Know

A little ditty I composed to try some horn arrangement so I could blow my own trumpet. I composed it on the bass guitar in key of C so it would be D on Bb trumpet. Added a couple of guitar parts and a hammond organ. It's ended up as a kind of latin funky number and the horn parts are slightly reminiscent of 70's US cop drama music in places. I recorded 4 horn parts - 2 doing the main riff and 2 doing harmonies.

Several Species Of Small Furry Blokes Gathered Together In A Pub And Grooving With A Pint (of Real Ale) started out as me deciding to do something based on 70's prog rock. With Yes in mind and the sad demise of Chris Squire, I developed the intro, but as it went on it became more and more Floyd. I tried my best to fight that instinct but it was no good, so I just had to roll with it and this popped out. I think I managed to do it without committing any plagiarism while making it an homage to The Floyd withy my own strange twists and turns on the way..
