Wot you call it - Volume 01 - Al Chewy - Brand new UK Garage

A 12 year old mixup on vinyl, using some shitty Numark belt drive turntables and a Numark Bluedog mixer with no EQs, 2 channels and no effects.

The sound quality is dire as I recorded it onto minidisc and then probably Real Audio. There's a load of forgotten gems in there though from some wicked labels, including Adam B's 'Toast' which is firing. Also Big Apple Records' 'Bad Boy 01' which was and still is a killer.

There's also a couple of terrible tracks in there like Pluto's 'Can I get a...' which was only saved by the half decent DnD remix. What can I say, I was 17

Missed me? I've had to take some time away from music to concentrate on the day job... but I'm back. I spent ages trying to think of an original mix name, but figured the best thing was to use the name of our event dedicated to pushing New UKG.

I needed to do a mix to remind myself why I've spent 15 years pushing this genre. 50 minutes of bass, vocals, samba, 2-step, 4x4, funky, and everything under the UKG banner. 2015 has to be the year for New Garage.
