make me feel... alright?

First track I release in 2022!... So~, Happy New Year everybody!
Also earlier this year than I planned to, but, hey, what else ya gonna do on the 1st of January at, like, 7 am with your skull being made of pure pain?

Anyway, I suppose I should explain the title? It is a direct reference to the PSX game Serial Experiments Lain, which I only managed to finally play last year. It is quite a bit darker than the anime.
...serious content warning, tho: do not look up what the reference is about if the topic of su*cide is not good for you. In fact: do not look up the game at all unless you feel mentally safe to handle surprisingly graphic content and the topics of mental illness, self harm, and su*cide. The game does NOT care jack to hold back.
Still, that out of the way: once I finished the game, watching the credits, I pretty much instantly thought that I will need to name a track after it, simply because it left that much of an impression on me.
And thus, I now did.

Just musically it is my pretty usual synthwave/metal-hybrid, probably leaning harder towards the synth rather than the metal... also, least for being from me, rather melodic.

This one is... odd insofar that it is too Metal to be EDM, but also way too EDM to be Metal.
Aside from that, the name "HEX" refers to hexadecimal... mostly named it that because the Bass and the Kick are made from a single-cycle-sample of a waveform I created via emulating a digital oscillator (made up of a clock, counter, SRAM (acting as a LUT) and a simple R-2R DAC) in a circuit simulator app... 
yeah, probably the most roundabout way I ever synthesized a sound.
and yes, the numbers on the cover "art" are indeed the numbers I programed into the virtual SRAM...

Whelp, what to say...
Musically my usual crossover of Synth and Metal (by this point, I kinda think I just found my niche... least for the time being)...
Also relatively upbeat for being something I made.

...random side note: at the time I am making this, I actually really like/am happy with how the Kick and Snare sound... place your bets how long that holds up. A week? Maybe a Month? Even longer than that? Unlikely, but, who knows. :P

As for the name: it is german (ya know, my actual native language) and translates to "Existence (Is Not Up For Debate)". 
Why that name? Well, aside from it being *somewhat* short (unlike any other idea I had) it is also probably the tamest (I am, for some reason, just immensely irritated today, thus any idea I had was, at best, angry)

And, also: it is (at the time of making this) June... that is: Pride Month. So, in case the chosen colors were not big enough a hint, there is that.

Existenz (Steht Nicht Zur Debatte)

A track *without* guitars! ... also technically merely 90 bpm, but the drums play in double-time... they also do not play a straight four-to-the-floor...
...yeah, basically, this is a somewhat fast, and quite trance-y D'n'B track.

As for the name "We Still Are"? Honestly, for once, no deeper meaning. I just merely liked the sound of it.

Well... I dunno what to say.
Aside from it have been taken oddly long to make (guess I have a bit of a writer's block) it is, musically, the usual Cybersynth-y stuff I make... Meaning: anticipate linndrums, mostly japanese synths, and heavily distorted guitars... even if it is on the softer/more melodic end of the spectrum.

The name Roaming is just a case of me deciding on a whim that I like the word, so, that shall be the name ._.

I really don't know what else to say for the music itself... I mean, I used a synth I just bought the other day (the cherry audio eight voice), but it mostly just sounds... ya know... like what I do... I kinda make everything just sound like me, huh?

As for the name "Ash Ridge"... I literally named it for the Ash Ridge PRC, of which I am a part of... if you know, you know.

So... I dunno, have fun.

I dunno what to say... I am currently really happy with the guitar tone in this... and also just the energy.
Also think it fits the spooky month in tone :P

I was tempted to call it Wolperdinger simply because it mixes a lot of things that seemingly don't go together.

...also: no, I have no idea what it is with acidic sounds this year, I just kinda like them, I suppose.

...and I have no idea what kinda genre this would count as. It is loud, relatively fast, noisy, yet has a rather clean beat.

Musically my usual fair, if somewhat more "melodic" than usual. 

I really kinda am at a loss for words... am happy with it, but, like, sometimes it is just kinda hard to come up with anything interesting to say, I suppose.

Onwards To The End

Definitely has been a while... oh well...
Have a track. Named 33. Why? Because I turned 33 two days ago.

My good friend DD, aka. Dead-Drop -( https://soundcloud.com/dead-drop )- had the idea to collaborate on a track... 

We did collaborate before, but that was literally years ago and we both were far more green and the output was... a lot noisier to say the least, and, while I still think at least I am far away from "experienced producer", we did make this track in what amounts to record time for us both and, in contrast, it is easy to hear how far we both came, musically.

The name "In Another Time" is derived from the nostalgia that came up from working together again.

I had a blast making this, and I hope you enjoy it.

Have some synthwave... possibly... maybe also metal... or something else, as if I know.

This was more work then it might sound like... For some reason, this actually brings my computer to it's knees when played back in-DAW.

Which also is the reason for the name of the track: it reminded me of the past when, thanks to having a toaster of a computer, I always had to work around the limitations... which got me nostalgic and then in a weird "man, some stuff that is normal now used to be science fiction"-kinda mood.

So, I named this "As Future Becomes Past" as some kind of memento mori.
