Born  in  Sao  Paulo  to  a  deeply  religious  family, Laercio  has  been  around  music  all  his  life  -  amidst the  challenges  of  daily  life,  his  adventist  parents would whip out all sorts of instruments whenever the situation  would  allow  it,  introducing  a  young  and curious    mind    to    a    wide    range    of    musical expressions.  It  should  come  as  no  surprise,  then, that  our  hero  quickly  felt  at  home  with  notes  and bars, choosing the flute as his first weapon of choice which he eagerly studied from the age of seven.  Even   later   non-musical   career   choices   always reflected an infatuation with the world of sounds, like his  stint  as  a  capoeira  teacher,  combining  martial arts, acrobatics and dance. With  such  a  multi-faceted  background  in  music,  the inevitable   tinkering   with   synthesizers   and   other means  of  electronic  sound  generation  was  rather  a question  of  time  than  one  of  ambition,  and  sure enough  we  find  Laercio  roaming  the  parties  of  the mid-noughties,  absorbing  the  unique  melange  of styles and scales that inform club culture to this day.  In stark contrast to most other rave inductees at the time, however, he never wanted to become a DJ: his area   of   expertise   is   the   performance,   not   the collecting  and  curating  of  other  people's  releases, and  it  shows  in  the  unusual  fact  that  Laercio  has held club residencies as a live electronic musician in venues  like  Sao Paulo's  D-Edge  without  ever  so much as touching a record. In  these  release  L_cio  has  worked  with  D.O.C. mastermind  Gui  Boratto.  and  the  result  is  music  for the dancefloor.

It steadily introduces layers of subtle, all enveloping, hypnotic, melody rich elements that soar, ebb and flow with perfect beauty. The continually evolving nature of ZAC and Gabriels complex musical arrangements continues through the slightly tougher, chiming Exosphere. Wonderfully evocative melodies flourish once more, whilst the groove is tied down with a decidedly heavier bottom end. As a finale, Perfect In Spirit dials up a more percussive, groove-based approach as it lays down a super-seductive, hip-swinging backbone, before adding yet more of ZAC and Gabriels sublime, heart-warming, melody-rich, subtle euphoria.

Rey&Kjavik has a preference for mystical and spiritual soundscapes in an electronic music context. His debut album, 'Rkadash', released last year, emphasized the artist's state of mind and transfered the creativity of this significant chapter in his life to the dancefloor. But in the same pace as time moves on people do as well, hence the producer has spent and wisely used the past couple of months to come to terms with transforming his newly gained impressions resulting in his second studio album, 'Mountiri' that will be released in december on his own label RKJVK. The approach of 'Mountiri' differs from his first album as Rey&Kjavik created a concept album that strongly focuses on the flow in the style of a good old mixtape that you can listen to in one go. Musically the artist stayed true to himself and yet created an advanced spiritual and mystical piece of art that highlights his versatility by drawing on oriental vibes and desertic rhythms that come in relaxing, as in the album's opener 'Saraswati' (Mountiri album version), but build up tension throughout the album's journey and peak with 'Amaan' before achieving both, peace and freedom in the soundscapes of the LP's name giving and closing track 'Mountiri'. With his second album Rey&Kjavik crosses the frontiers of a visible reality being turned into an auditory experience and to become one in the musically experienced moment.

Atlas showcases their ability to step over to the dark side with a fist-pumping melodic Techno thumper.Closing off the record is Dont Bring Me Down, which was written by Dino Lenny and enhanced by ARTBATs brush into an emotional dancefloor hymn. The pairing of its string arrangements and the touching vocals of Dino Lenny will surely make for memories that last past the night out in which you hear it.
