From the track to the lyrics, this song delivers. While we had a lot of fun with the word play, the concept in, “Never Die”, offers the one thing many people are seeking, immortality. The idea of being offered the chance to be immortalized by being placed in song. “Never Die”, falls in the concept of Sting’s “Roxanne”, or in more recent times, Fabolous’s “Cinnamon Apple” by asking to be impressive enough to be placed in a song.

In a word, perspective. The major difference that can separates two iconic artists, such as Nas and Jay-Z for example, is the perspective the artist tells the story from. For clarity without trying to boast: I’m a hustler, I’ve sold crack, weed, you name it, but I’ve also earned an MBA, own several companies, legally married with a live in girlfriend, and have written books on relationships.
