FR - Figure discrète de la scène nancéienne, Medulla Oblongata s'épanouit dans son biotope musical entre l'ambient et une techno mentale et hypnotique. Ses sets techno sont une invitation à un voyage immersif où les danseurs peuvent s'oublier. On a pu le voir œuvrer dernièrement du côté du Château Perché Festival et de leurs projets annexes secrets et sans concessions dans lesquels il peut pleinement s'épanouir.

Avec d'autres oiseaux rares il a également cofondé le collectif TRÊVE regroupant des artistes de différents horizons autour de l'ambient et des arts visuels dans le but de proposer des soirées oniriques et contemplatives. Ses sets ambient se muent dans l'hybridation avec un travail de samples de bandes magnétiques, de boucles de machines droniques et de synthé.

EN - Discreet figure of the Nancy scene, Medulla Oblongata blossoms in his musical biotope between ambient and a mental and hypnotic techno. His techno sets are an invitation to an immersive journey where dancers can forget themselves. We could see him working lately with the Château Perché Festival and their secret and uncompromising side projects in which he can fully blossom.

With other rare birds he also co-founded the collective TRÊVE gathering artists from different horizons around ambient and visual arts in order to propose dreamlike and contemplative evenings. His ambient sets become hybridized with tape samples, droning machine loops and synthesizers.

The crystalline sound of Eloim is re-worked in this 3 tracks EP. 3 visions of cerebral techno which take us through different textures sometimes in the bed of a crystal river, with the Troma & Pers1’s remix - norman duo which already signed many elegant acid techno releases on Aquaregia. The aqueous quality of the sound can be find also in the Atomic Moog’s remix, which plays marvelously with the original elements and their metamorphic possibilities. Or other times in the power touch of b.mod which drills a tunnel in La Grande Montagna. 

Le son cristallin d’Eloim est ici retravaillé dans cet 3 titres, 3 visions d’une techno cérébrale qui nous emmène à travers différentes textures, tantôt dans le lit d’une rivière de cristal, avec le remix de Troma & PERS1 - duo normand qui a déjà composé de nombreuses tracks acid techno très élégantes chez Aquaregia. La qualité aqueuse du son peut aussi se déguster avec le remix d’Atomic Moog, qui joue merveilleusement avec les éléments originaux du morceau et leurs possibles métamorphiques. Finalement l’EP se termine avec la touche puissante de b.mod qui creuse un tunnel sous La Grande Montagna.

[NFRWD08] Eloim - 'Drama Remixes' EP w/ Troma & PERS1, Atomic Moog & b.mod Remixes

For the 10th Monday Off release, label boss Mary Yuzovskaya curates four hypnotic cuts from a host of top tier techno talent.
Leading the A-side is ‘Schaefer Conclave’, a collaboration between Mary Yuzovskaya and NYC-based Twice As Proper events founder Craft. With pulsating low end, evolving pads, and delicate percussion, the duo have created an exceptional cut of deep techno. Following is Italian DJ/producer Ruhig’s ‘A Perfect Vacuum’, eschewing 4/4 patterns for rumbling syncopation and trippy synthesis throughout.
On the flip, Yuzovskaya goes solo with ‘Panic Season’, turning in a masterfully hypnotic track taking in dense percussions, eerie tones, and engulfing atmospherics. Rounding out the release, Monday Off regular and Polish DJ/producer Blazej Malinowski delivers ‘Mist’, a driving and propulsive track with shimmering production, sending listeners into a deeply satisfying musical wormhole.

New ep at No Way home for the Italian duo Bichord, a work of pure rarefied and meditative ambient. Three tracks ranging from the suspended drone music of 'Dimensione' and 'Costante', to the more spacey atmospheres of 'Lineare'. The original tracks are also entrusted to three artists who offer a personal reinterpretation, such as Hironori Takahashi who re-elaborates Dimensione in a techno key, Infinity that embellishes Lineare with a hypnotic and syncopated sequence, Ryogo Yamamori with his Brian Eno's school reinterpretation of Costantel. A cerebral and refined ep that lends itself to various listening levels.

He is the kind of producer that certainly enjoys his studio jam sessions—this is the reason why he spends most of the time in his studio tweaking knobs on synthesizers, recording and experimenting with the aim to capture and create his own sound.
After releasing music on reputable labels over the years, Alan is now releasing music mainly on his own, having already released three well received albums on Bandcamp.
