A few words from the publisher: "Eight extended compositions on Michal Wolski's new record “La Mer” (Sea) recall those special moments when sound becomes a movement of a kinetic sculpture, an abstract painting, or a cinematic report from the Arctic solitude. Personal and introvert, yet simultaneously carrying certain universal message (cosmic loneliness? molecular life?), sound space created by Wolski manages to seduce listener and inhale her/him for whole 75 minutes. Associations with sculptural work with matter are not purely arbitrary. On his fourth full-length, artist consciously shapes complex and saturated form, further developing - on evidence on his earlier releases - penchant for exploring darker alleys of synthesis and sound design. In his varied and consistent narration, one can find a whole range of references to noblest protoplasts such as Pan Sonic, Rhythm & Sound, or even Vatican Shadow’s desert manipulation. However, the key to album’s consistency does not rely on the power of quote, it rather manifests itself in sheer scale and depth of imagined atmospheres and non-existent geographies. The crystalline sound of Eloim is re-worked in this 3 tracks EP. 3 visions of cerebral techno which take us through different textures sometimes in the bed of a crystal river, with the Troma & Pers1’s remix - norman duo which already signed many elegant acid techno releases on Aquaregia. The aqueous quality of the sound can be find also in the Atomic Moog’s remix, which plays marvelously with the original elements and their metamorphic possibilities. Or other times in the power touch of b.mod which drills a tunnel in La Grande Montagna. 

Le son cristallin d’Eloim est ici retravaillé dans cet 3 titres, 3 visions d’une techno cérébrale qui nous emmène à travers différentes textures, tantôt dans le lit d’une rivière de cristal, avec le remix de Troma & PERS1 - duo normand qui a déjà composé de nombreuses tracks acid techno très élégantes chez Aquaregia. La qualité aqueuse du son peut aussi se déguster avec le remix d’Atomic Moog, qui joue merveilleusement avec les éléments originaux du morceau et leurs possibles métamorphiques. Finalement l’EP se termine avec la touche puissante de b.mod qui creuse un tunnel sous La Grande Montagna.

Italian DJ

Straight from Northern Italy, Alessio Meneghello or better known for his moniker Alan Backdrop, has been attracting his listeners through his productions characterized with deep atmospheres and a mixture of genres melted together in the classic, hypnotic and repetitive way of Techno music.
He is the kind of producer that certainly enjoys his studio jam sessions—this is the reason why he spends most of the time in his studio tweaking knobs on synthesizers, recording and experimenting with the aim to capture and create his own sound.
After releasing music on reputable labels over the years, Alan is now releasing music mainly on his own, having already released three well received albums on Bandcamp.
