This mix has just been dug from the vaults of Tangled. Its a non-stop mix of classic tunes that shaped the sound of the upstairs room of the Phoenix where Manchesters longest running clubnight was held every week from 1997 - 2006. Tangled is a 2 room clubnight with room1 playing house, techno and trance and room2 playing a funky variety of bass infused breaks and beats. This mix was given out on the 12th birthday at the Phoenix back in 2005.

Tangled Breaks 12th Birthday Classics  2005

This mix was the first ever mix CD given out as a gift to all the Tangled Breaks clubbers who attended Tangled at the Phoenix in 1999. Tangled Breaks - The first CD - 1999

Here is my set from the fabulous Beatherder 2014. This purely vinyl set was played on the Stumblefunk stage at 21.30hrs on the Saturday night. The Stumblefunk tent was a much more intimate stage this year which was perfect for myself and the crowd. The tent was packed and the atmosphere was awesome!!

Tangled Breaks Classics Set - Beatherder 2014

On Saturday 6th September Manchesters longest running clubnight Tangled closed its doors after 21 years of providing the clubbers of Manchester with a hedonistic soundtrack to rave to on a regular basis. This mix is not the live recording but very similar to the set that was played last in the breaks room from 2.30am - 4am. All the tunes are the same, just a few in a different order due to memory loss. Myself and Tangled Breaks resident Nick Dent went back 2 back for the first hour with myself playing the last half hour. The music was amazing and the atmosphere was electric and ecstatic. Classic breaks anthems from over the years at Tangled. Tune after tune after tune... Tune in, Turn it up, Have it large one last Tangled time!! .... until the reunion in a few years :)

This wicked mix featured on Annie Nightingales show back in 2002. No tracklist unfortunately but some kicking tunes from the early days of the duo. Play loud!

From their early Marine Parade days until the present, they've included: post punk, italo-disco, hip hop, old-school electro, jungle, vintage electronica, early house, shoegaze, drum & bass, techno, krautrock, R&B and 80's electronic horror movie soundtrack influences in their music to create their own unique sound that’s seen them continually stand out from the crowd.
