🗣️ Comment avez vous découverts la musique électronique ? Et depuis combien de temps mixez vous ? 
➤ Cleft : Au collège, j’avais 13 ans, évidemment j’écoutais pas la même chose qu’aujourd’hui ! (rires)
➤ H.Mess : J’ai découvert la musique électronique à 15 ans au Lycée avec mon meilleur ami de l’époque, lui en écoutait déjà et m’a fait découvrir des classiques comme les Daft punk. À cette période, Gesaffelstein sortait aussi son premier EP « Variations » il y a 8 ans ! J’étais fan ahah. J’ai commencé à sortir énormément dans les clubs rennais et suis allé à mon premier festival Panorama (qui est sans doute le premier festival de nombreux rennais). J’ai commencé à produire quasiment en même temps qu’en découvrant cette musique en étant tombé par hasard sur un logiciel de MAO (Fruity loops). Deux ans après nos premières virées nocturnes, mon pote et moi décidons de franchir le pas et de déposer des maquettes de mix dans quelques petits bars à Rennes. Je m’en rappelle encore de ma première fois puisqu’on enchainait 2 dates sur deux jours à l’After Bar puis au Combi Bar !

🗣️ Quels sont vos meilleurs souvenirs dans musique électronique ? 
➤ Cleft : Les beaux gigs avec Hadrien (H.Mess), il y en a eu pas mal d’ailleurs ! Un peu partout en France, mais les meilleurs souvenirs pour l’instant c’était à Rennes, ou Nantes dernièrement 😉
➤ H.Mess : Mon premier voyage à Berlin à 18 ans a été un réel déclic musical et je suis tombé amoureux de l’ambiance que l’on peut retrouver dans certaines soirées là-bas. Dans les plus grosses claques musicales que j’ai prises, on peut parler du festival Forte 2016 (et du closing incroyable de Ben Klock) ou bien du set mental de Caleb Esc au Berghain en été 2017.

🗣️ Quelle sont vos plus grandes inspirations ? 
➤ Cleft : J’en ai plusieurs, mais Antigone reste pour moi l’un de mes producteurs favoris. 
➤ H.Mess : Je n’ai pas vraiment de plus grande inspiration, dans la musique électronique ce qui est bien c’est qu’il y a une multitude de producteurs talentueux, il y a toujours des nouveautés ! Les styles sont très éclectiques et on peut donc slalomer entre les genres !

Pär Grindvik has been a central figure in the Swedish electronic scene since the 90s as record store owner, label manager and producer. In his artistic career Pär has released music across a plethora of acclaimed electronic labels, including a string of hits on his own Stockholm LTD imprint as well as Drumcode, with frequent collaborator Hardcell. Pär’s recent output has seen him contribute music to labels such as Semantica, Marbacka, Sinister and Dystopian.

Founded in 2002, Stockholm LTD began as an outlet for singles and EPs from Swedish artists with a focus on releasing timeless electronic music. It has since developed into a hallmark for finely crafted electronic music from a range of international artists.

Over the past two decades Pär’s involvement with the electronic music community has branched out across the globe. Openly passionate about supporting underground talent, Pär works closely with an ever-expanding repertoire of labels and artists.

As a DJ Pär tours the world, transporting his deft and uniquely dynamic DJ sets to techno fans internationally and on a weekly basis. His worldwide popularity as a performer stems not only from his skill and versatility but also as a result of the energy he puts into every performance. It's this combination that enables him to bring the heat to the best clubs in the world.

Pär continues to serve as one of the most exciting and hardworking contributors to the scene. Every inch of Pär’s work, including labels, artwork, release info and music, is wrapped with heart and emotion, a quality which keeps the sparkle and curiosity alive within the ever changing adaptations of the artistic world.

Pour ce cinquième volume de "M.A.D Brains Series", nous recevons Joss Moog, qui était également notre invité sur un précédent événement au Cargö !
Comme d'habitude il répond à nos questions afin d'en savoir un peu plus sur lui.

🗣️ Comment as tu découvert la musique électronique ? Et depuis combien de temps mixes tu ? 
- J’ai découvert la musique électronique avec le courant de la French Touch dans les années 90, celle qui tapait dans les samples et sonorités Funk / Disco ou Acid-Jazz et les artistes, albums et tubes qui y sont associés : Bangalter et une de mes premières claques avec On Da Rocks, Etienne De Crécy, Mr Oizo, Demon, Alan Braxe, St Germain…

- Je mixe depuis que je me suis mis à la production c’est-à-dire vers 2007 lorsque j’ai sorti mon 1er EP « Room 25 » sur Robsoul.

🗣️ Quel est ton meilleur souvenir dans musique électronique ? 
- Quand j’ai envoyé un track de Fouk à un label pensant que c’était un track à moi ; quand, à Berlin, le gars a allumé la machine à fumée et n’est jamais revenu et quand Adrien du Djoon m’a confirmé pour The Djoon Experience 2019.

🗣️ Quelle est ta plus grande inspiration ? 
- Des artistes à double facette comme Soundstream / Soundhack ou Bangalter, capables aussi bien de captiver l’oreille avec de belles harmonies Funk / Disco que des tracks durs avec des sons plus brefs. 
Quel que soit le rendu, le choix et le travail des sons ou des samples utilisés est toujours top. 
Un autre exemple et une admiration pour le groove de producteurs comme Joey Youngman ou Jason Hodges.. Si vous avez l’occasion d’écouter le « Double Stacked » de Youngman.. Je trouve le beat et l’edit du morceau incroyables.

🗣️ Et enfin ton morceau du moment ? 
- Le Dice #2 d’Around7 sorti sur Ondulé début Mars. 
Il y a des tracks que je kiffe à la 1ère écoute mais dont je vais me lasser assez vite et d’autres que je capte pas forcément tout de suite et qui prennent du « sens » sur le long terme. 
Le Dice #2 fait partie de la seconde catégorie et j’aime beaucoup cet effet « différé », Kiss Cool.

This is a recording showed up today on the net, few weeks after we sadly lost one of the members of The Prodigy. It`s from a night in Sofia in 2008, which my friend Martin "Brokoli" Yankov (mozyk.net) is running. It`s dedicated to the Rave sound of the early 90`s. This is a recording of my DJ set from the first event, using a pair of CDJ 100 and an obscure mixer. I ended up not playing any acid-house, sticking mostly to hardcore breakbeats and the hits from that era. I loved that sound when it was new, I loved it 2000`s, I love it now and forever!
