Never Forget - All The Things That You Have Lost.

This is another, later, version of the classic, "On the River". This is a tune that I composed on bass guitar. I added the lyrics after I started shredding with Gary McDonnell in our duo, "Jam Patrol".  This is a rendition of the tune with Jack Kaye(Rokk) on lead guitar and backing vocals. On percussion and backing vocals, we had Chris Bonner. On bass guitar, keyboards and lead vocals was me, Alan M. Thwaites. This was a rehearsal tape I found in a box after I moved. Enjoy! :-)

Modern Groove - 10 27 15

Modern technology makes creating music fun. DAW synths live in virtual space, while old synths spread out all over the place. Cables ruled the world back then. MIDI, 1/4 in, XLR, VC, TRS Everything is a virtual patch now. ( I still have bins if cables and a rack full of old synths collecting dust. ) A USB controller and an audio interface hooked up to a Mac is all I need now. :-)

Striptease is a ditty that I've been playing with since last Christmas on my zoom loop pedal. It was written with minimal percussion accompaniment and solo guitar. This version, recorded in GarageBand, features a synthesizer solo lead and enhanced percussion. Enjoy!

I've been a musician since the 4th grade. After high school, I made a decision to stop playing other peoples music and start writing my own. I've done so ever since. Being an artist doesn't always bring in the bacon, so, I've been Producing/Directing/Shooting and Editing television since 1987. My music and photography went with me to Telluride, Colorado where I became a ski videographer/photographer and local TV producer/director. However, after the drought season of '87-'88, I returned to San Diego to continue my education, SDSU, and start a new band, SCRATCH / SECTOR 7. after, graduating with honors. I've never given-up writing music, I wrote several commissioned pieces for the University of California.(soundtracks for show opens and such) Now, you can find my music all over the web!
