Trance Sanctuary Big Tunes 2023 - Alan Banks

Some of you might have known about a secret London party that used to run in the city called Planet Angel. Main room hosted trance and I was lucky enough to DJ for many years at this event which hosted such names such as Will Atkinson, Lisa Loud, Neal Scarborough, Sly One vs Jurrane, Custard, James Rae and more. 

On the very rare occasion the night was recorded (sets weren't recorded much back then) this became a favourite with people. So putting it back up for all to enjoy.

My warm up set in the main room at Ministry of Sound for the annual Kearnage event at Trance Sanctuary. We had some technical issues at the beginning so it cut my first track (which i've just lovingly added in so you get the full picture) and then Cold Blue accidentally pressing the cue button on the decks for my final track (crowd noises included). Set went down well and I wanted to say a massive thank you to all those that filled the room in about 10 mins as soon as the doors opened. An incredible experience that i'll remember for a long time, thank you to Mark and Trance Sanctuary team for the opportunity.

So, i'm in the process of doing a production breakdown of this track to show you the original parts, the new elements i added and few techniques that i used to remix the track from 1999! Obviously Solarstone then did an amazing reconstruction from this to fit in with Pure Trance Volume 5 and his version won't be covered in the tutorial.

 Nu-depth is back with another sure crowd pleaser. Quality trance at its finest and at the highest level too. Alan has produced what we can term as uplifting classic trance style with the fat basslines wonderful melody and great large and emotional breakdown that leads to a great take off moment. If you dont feel like flying when you dance with this one then its hard to feel that emotion on any other trance track. Manuel returns with an excellent remix that can be termed as his best so far. Really uplifting with large synths for the fireworks moment in any big outdoor festival. This is what i call trance with the capital T.
