BLACK GIRL / WHITE GIRL have a very special guest mix in store for 6AM, seamlessly mixing multiple genres into one high-energy hour of music.

The duo are a force of nature squared, combining their taste for raw and rousing music in the fields of acid, techno, house, electro, and more. They channel this alongside influence from their respective Curacaoan and Israeli heritage, crafting tracks and sets that are packed full of potent sounds and able to keep dancefloors enthralled while veering in unexpected directions. Together, they are a couple living in Amsterdam and have emerged as a force to be reckoned with. Their knack for crafting craggy acid and jackin’ techno is only outmatched by the palpable collaborative energy they bring to their DJ sets.

Despite the global disruption of 2020, Black Girl / White Girl continued their incredibly forceful run of form, gained support from across the techno community, and quickly established their strong reputation. They remain busy on the output front in 2021 with new music arriving on Symbolism, Warehouse Music, EI8HT, and Balkan Vinyl, and installments of the monthly OPERATOR mix series dropping to keep fans dancing at home.

On the vibe BLACK GIRL / WHITE GIRL were trying to achieve with this mix: "This is the set we’d play while the sun was setting right behind a dark and steamy Pride festival tent packed with 100% VAXXED techno, acid house, and breakbeat aficionados. We got laser beams blazing all over the crowd, steam hissing from the ceiling, sweat dripping from the jacking bodies, all of that. Each track amplifies the sensual energy, keeping the vibes fierce throughout the 60 minutes set. We're dropping some of our favorite tracks from the likes of Ariel Zetina, LSDXOXO, Jerome Hill, Betonkust, and Ejeca. More than anything, this mix is about honoring our community. A man who needs little introduction, Southampton born techno legend Alan Fitzpatrick has spent the last decade carving out his musical niche and holding rank in the upper echelons of the underground electronic world. Few artists can claim to have headlined Berghain and also had a hit on daytime BBC Radio 1, but then there aren’t many artists like Alan Fitzpatrick. 

One of the most popular techno DJs in the world, he has rubbed shoulders with the likes of Carl Cox and Adam Beyer for the best part of a decade, performing at the world’s biggest clubs and festivals. Known primarily for his raw hard-edged sound, Alan has developed into one of dance music’s most versatile producers, equally at home putting out techno bangers on Drumcode as he is making disco-infused house anthems, or experimental electronica under his 3STRANGE alias, not to mention his impressive range of collaborations (including CamelPhat, Skream, Sasha, Rebūke and Jamie Jones). 

The We Are The Brave and Apex Faction label don adopts a no nonsense approach to A&R and in 5 short years Alan has welcomed some of Techno’s finest producers to his fold. The Englishman champions the musical output of both established artists and breakthrough alike, accumulating over 50 million Spotify Streams on We Are The Brave records since its inception in 2016. Fast-forward to 2021 and the southern powerhouse shows no sign of slowing down, his passion for music permeating all aspects of his career. The WATB frontman is renowned for curating an evening of exceptional magnitude, having already showcased his roster’s talent at The Warehouse Project, Shine Belfast, SWG3 Glasgow and the infamous Fabric nightclub in London.
