Some of you may know that I've been into techno very heavily the last few years. See; Diplo and Friends mix, Art Basel 2014 mix, and Into the Void mixes. I actually didn't take any trap or bass bookings for the year of 2015 to support Vultures EP and only played techno and underground shows. 

This mix was recorded live this past Sunday 12.9 with Dubfire (Sci+Tec) in Atlanta. If you are coming from an EDM / Trap or Bass music background and want to listen to some deep dark Techno, dive into this mix and let it consume you. A lot of my favorite electronic music that's being made currently is in it. If you are new to Techno, then it's my hopes this can be used as a good starting point to get you headed in a direction on a journey of discovery. If you aren't new to Techno, then maybe there's some names in here you weren't checking for before. 

My favorite electronic music is the kind that transports you to an entirely new place. The venue that night was dark, loud, packed, and sweaty. Hit play and be transported into a cyberpunk dystopia.

A man who needs little introduction, Southampton born techno legend Alan Fitzpatrick has spent the last decade carving out his musical niche and holding rank in the upper echelons of the underground electronic world. Few artists can claim to have headlined Berghain and also had a hit on daytime BBC Radio 1, but then there aren’t many artists like Alan Fitzpatrick. 

One of the most popular techno DJs in the world, he has rubbed shoulders with the likes of Carl Cox and Adam Beyer for the best part of a decade, performing at the world’s biggest clubs and festivals. Known primarily for his raw hard-edged sound, Alan has developed into one of dance music’s most versatile producers, equally at home putting out techno bangers on Drumcode as he is making disco-infused house anthems, or experimental electronica under his 3STRANGE alias, not to mention his impressive range of collaborations (including CamelPhat, Skream, Sasha, Rebūke and Jamie Jones).
