TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ GARY BECK

As a regular fixture at the world's top clubs and festivals, Glasgow born producer and DJ Gary Beck has long been established as a primary figure in techno. 
Known and respected for his unique sound, he has gained support from the best names in the business and released music on some of the genre's leading labels, including institutions such as Soma, Cocoon & Drumcode, as well as his own BEK Audio imprint. 
Since his emergence onto the scene in 2007, Beck has accumulated an impressive list of achievements. Highlights include a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, two Boiler Room session's, featured music on BBC 1 Drama ‘Stonemouth', as well as numerous collaborations with exceptional talents such as MR. G, Green Velvet, Debra Debs, Mark Broom and Speedy J. 
2012 saw the release of his seminal debut album 'Bring a Friend' on the legendary Soma Records label. It was their 100th release, and this was a great honour for Gary. His second album 'Dal Riata' was released in November 2019. Gary also enjoys producing under his alias's Sosak & Tanera.
In terms of performing, Gary has appeared at some of the worlds largest and respected clubs and festivals, with shows at renowned venues such as Womb Tokyo, Fabric London, Awakenings, T in the Park Scotland, Spazio Rome, Output NYC, Printworks London, and Timewarp, to name a few. 
In addition to a busy performance schedule, Beck spends time as head of BEK Audio, an imprint which has quickly become one of the most revered techno labels on the scene after releases from the likes of Floorplan, Mark Broom, Slam, DJ Rush & Ritzi Lee.

Back in one of my favourite clubs ever… Nordstern in Basel. For those who haven't been there, it is a boat and has the best layout a club can possibly have. Amazing sound system, huge dance floor, DJ booth on almost the same level at the end of the room, all black and amazing lights and visuals – a perfect place to get lost in the groove. This time I played an all night long set, started at 1 and ended at some point after 6. This week´s AMFM 418 is actually the 3rd hour of my set, next week´s show will contain the 4th and the week after you will be able to listen to the 5th and last. A man who needs little introduction, Southampton born techno legend Alan Fitzpatrick has spent the last decade carving out his musical niche and holding rank in the upper echelons of the underground electronic world. Few artists can claim to have headlined Berghain and also had a hit on daytime BBC Radio 1, but then there aren’t many artists like Alan Fitzpatrick. 

One of the most popular techno DJs in the world, he has rubbed shoulders with the likes of Carl Cox and Adam Beyer for the best part of a decade, performing at the world’s biggest clubs and festivals. Known primarily for his raw hard-edged sound, Alan has developed into one of dance music’s most versatile producers, equally at home putting out techno bangers on Drumcode as he is making disco-infused house anthems, or experimental electronica under his 3STRANGE alias, not to mention his impressive range of collaborations (including CamelPhat, Skream, Sasha, Rebūke and Jamie Jones). 

The We Are The Brave and Apex Faction label don adopts a no nonsense approach to A&R and in 5 short years Alan has welcomed some of Techno’s finest producers to his fold. The Englishman champions the musical output of both established artists and breakthrough alike, accumulating over 50 million Spotify Streams on We Are The Brave records since its inception in 2016. Fast-forward to 2021 and the southern powerhouse shows no sign of slowing down, his passion for music permeating all aspects of his career.
