We Are The Brave Radio 305 - Man With No Shadow (Guest Mix)

The UK-based rising star Mha Iri continues her astronomical ascent in 2024 with her latest EP release, ‘Mind Bender,’ on Filth On Acid. The EP kicks off with its title track, featuring an unrelenting, pulsating beat and an aggressive bassline that makes it impossible not to dance, emerging the public in an intense and dark atmosphere. ‘3 AM,’ keeps the energy from the previous track by boasting a driving bassline and enticing vocals adding to that the crushing kick drums and hi hats immersing the listener into what an underground rave should be. ‘Lights Out’ closes this monster of an EP, showcasing Mha Iri’s masterful production skills. Commanding vocals merge with hard-hitting techno, add to that the perfect touch of acidic notes and the progressive build ups during the entire track and Mha Iri finishes her EP in the best possible way.

Spektre's record label, Respekt presents an intoxicating two-track techno EP by Bolster.

Bolster are back on @respektrecordings with their second release on the imprint in 2024. Once again the Belgian duo showcase their dynamic style, which layers twisted euphoria with earth-shaking percussion.

Alongside their previous releases on Respekt, Jo Smeets and Michaël Aerts aka Bolster have released on other prestigious imprints such as Spartaque's Codex, Ramon Tapia's Say What? and Metodi Hristov's Set About.

"Mind & Machines" is the EP's title track, and it combines eerie pads with ominous vocals, while hulking bass synths create intensifying suspense. "Take Me Back" is second on the release, and like its predecessor, it's built around a hulking kick drum, but its focal point is uplifting synths that contrast with dark atmospherics.

A man who needs little introduction, Southampton born techno legend Alan Fitzpatrick has spent the last decade carving out his musical niche and holding rank in the upper echelons of the underground electronic world. Few artists can claim to have headlined Berghain and also had a hit on daytime BBC Radio 1, but then there aren’t many artists like Alan Fitzpatrick. 

One of the most popular techno DJs in the world, he has rubbed shoulders with the likes of Carl Cox and Adam Beyer for the best part of a decade, performing at the world’s biggest clubs and festivals. Known primarily for his raw hard-edged sound, Alan has developed into one of dance music’s most versatile producers, equally at home putting out techno bangers on Drumcode as he is making disco-infused house anthems, or experimental electronica under his 3STRANGE alias, not to mention his impressive range of collaborations (including CamelPhat, Skream, Sasha, Rebūke and Jamie Jones). 

The We Are The Brave and Apex Faction label don adopts a no nonsense approach to A&R and in 5 short years Alan has welcomed some of Techno’s finest producers to his fold. The Englishman champions the musical output of both established artists and breakthrough alike, accumulating over 50 million Spotify Streams on We Are The Brave records since its inception in 2016. Fast-forward to 2021 and the southern powerhouse shows no sign of slowing down, his passion for music permeating all aspects of his career. The WATB frontman is renowned for curating an evening of exceptional magnitude, having already showcased his roster’s talent at The Warehouse Project, Shine Belfast, SWG3 Glasgow and the infamous Fabric nightclub in London.
