well here it is - the live recorded set from the best day thusfar of my ridiculous little life - closing the @beatport stage on monday night this year at movement festival.

the original recording i was handed was extremely muddy and very poor quality.  i'm not sure if some raver accidentally dropped the recorder in the river or what?!?! lol... at first listen i thought the mix was totally unsalvageable. but there was so much persistent response from you guys asking about the recording that i had to try and make it happen.  (you guys are the best btw)

i spent countless hours EQing, limiting, EQing, and working all sorts of magic, and MORE EQing to get it sounding the way it does now.  i didn't mess with the flow of the set or anything shady like that - it is exactly how it came out that night.  

its not a flawless mix.  so what.  its live.  im only half robot, half human. it had been a VERY long weekend with a minimal amount of disco naps and only a few hours notice that i was going to fill in for mister boys noize..... excuses excuses :)  whatever. i'm happy.

THANK YOU guys SOOOOO much for all the love. i still feel like the luckiest person alive to have had the opportunity to play this set.  Thanks to my agents and manager and @chuck_flask and @paxahau and my @dirtybirdrecords family and all my friends and techno family from all over the place who were there in the crowd (i saw all your faces) and the people of detroit who have been so fucking nice and supportive....and my friends who were there in spirit.  and all the producers who actually wrote all these tracks. yes especially you. for creating frequencies meant to surround your body, be heard AND felt, and most of all rumble you to the core..... and thanks and praise to the techno gods for making this shit happen.  

so hey ok i got a little bit (super duper) emo on ya.  deal with it. 

i hope the set is how you remember it from that night.  and if its not... well fuck you... i cannot be held responsible for any chemically altered mind-states ;)  i'm just here to promote the music... jesus loves acid.  x -jess

Alanna Luna is pushing the limits of the electronic music movement and is about to take the world by storm with a highly anticipated solo album"Velvet Pancakes" due in stores 11/11/2011.  "I am in the process of creating- or channeling- beautiful art and music that reflects the evolution of the human spirit."- Alanna Luna 

Former lead singer of Exhibition of Sound (EOS) 2001-2007 a live electronic act that  began performing at house parties and underground raves in early 2001 and toured all around Arizona, California & Mexico, Ms. Luna began LIVE DJ/PA performances when they were still considered a novelty. Luna became well known at this time for her unique vocal stylings and quick change skills, as she would often wear as many as six costumes for an hour and fifteen minute set. EOS eventually outgrew the still very musically close minded Arizona dance music scene and moved to LA where they  were an instant hit and performed at many of the well known clubs and at several very large scale outdoor events. Amazing  opportunities presented themselves so EOS had the chance to perform with amazing talent such as Live PA legends INFECTED MUSHROOM and THE SPEAKER JUNKEEZ. Even though EOS only released one demo EP, they are part of the history and evolution of what Electronic Dance Music (EDM) has become. In 2009 EOS members parted ways and Luna began the long journey as a solo artist.

Luna is now writing, producing, recording, singing and playing several instruments on her first solo album. 

The current project (VELVET PANCAKES) is still in the studio but live rehearsals have begun as well as post-production and editing for her upcoming music video "I'm So Alive".

 Alanna enjoys and is influenced by all genres of music. She is a multi-instrumentalist who has studied many different types of stringed instruments as well as electronic synthesizers and beat machines. 

She calls herself "a seeker of knowledge" and maintains a desire to learn to play as many instruments as she can, as masterfully as she can. 
Ms. Luna is also an accomplished artist, her home town of Tucson AZ has murals she worked on with a non-profit organization "The Tucson Art Brigade" that she co-founded with friend an colleague, Micheal Schwartz, at the age of 17, while she was still in high school. She is also a fine artist, artistic welder and metal worker as well as a very accomplished graphic artist and illustrator.

"Seeker of knowledge"-besides working on her solo album, Luna is also currently a devoted full time student at Full Sail University- a very prestigious Arts & Entertainment College that boasts hundreds of alumni with Grammies, Oscars, and many more types of awards.
