'Guns, Germs And Steel' by Strobes

Written and recorded in March and April 2011 for my composition course at SOAS.

Three contrasting but (hopefully) complementary pieces, linked together to form a mini suite. It would be lovely to hear people's thoughts. I had in my head bits of Barry White, Miles Davis, Thomas Mapfumo and all sorts of other things.

Massive thanks to the incredible musicians who recorded the piece for me, and to Jon Whitten who helped me record it.
