Submarines- You, Me and the Bourgeoisie (Alaska In Winter Remix)

Once upon a time I lived in a magical place called Berlin, Germany-during the years  of 2008 & 2009. During that time I fell in love with the city and the music scene there- in particular, the Berlin techno scene- which made a huge impact on my life and my music. 

During this time I created a secret techno side project called 'Sun Allergies'. This project is a tribute to the Berlin Techno scene and my time living in the city.

Recorded in 2009-2010. Most of these songs are unfinished. I thought that one day I would return to finish these songs, but that never ended up happening. What you hear now are demo versions from roughly 10 years ago.

I know this music my not be for everyone, but I figured some people out there might like to here some of the techno music I made a decade ago.

• A musical project of b. bethancourt
• Is originally from New Mexico but spent half a year in Alaska out in a cabin in the woods recording music during the winter of 2004... hence the name.
• Released its 'debut', "Dance Party in the Balkans" which featured a young Zach Condon (Beirut) in the summer of 2007 on US and European labels.
• Relocated to Berlin, Germany and recorded 2nd album "Holiday" summer 2008.
• Toured for 3 years with the "virtual orchestra" around N. America and Europe including festivals such as Iceland Airwaves, SXSW, Fun Fun Fun Fest, Phono Festival (Norway), Nu Music Festival (Norway) and over 100 other shows in Europe.
•  Retired from touring in 2010 and continues to produce music as a recluse.
