DJ Tomrokz: The Rebirth of a Dream

Two decades ago, I made the decision to walk away from a promising career as a DJ and producer. It wasn’t because of a lack of talent or drive—quite the opposite. I had the passion and the creativity, but what I didn’t have was a deep understanding of the industry. More importantly, I found myself surrounded by people whose values and ethics didn’t align with mine. The music I wanted to create, with lyrics and a style that reflected who I was, just didn’t fit into the scene at the time.

So, I moved on. I started doing private work, DJing in spaces where I could be myself, and using my talents as a digital creator behind the scenes. Over the years, I became part of a network of creators—people like me, whose work you’ve probably heard without even realizing it. A large percentage of the samples used by top producers come from individuals like myself, operating in the shadows, influencing the soundscape without ever stepping into the spotlight.

During this time, I never let go of my original sound. I held onto the music I’d created, biding my time. While producing for others, I continued to nurture my own work, quietly reworking my old tracks. It was a personal journey—a long walk to freedom, if you will. Now, the time has come for that music to finally see the light of day.

The industry might have told me I couldn’t do it. That I needed them to succeed. But here I stand, after years of fighting my own battles and creating on my own terms, ready to prove them wrong. I don’t need them anymore—I know how to do it myself.

This isn’t just a return; it’s a rebirth. DJ Tomrokz is back, not as someone seeking approval from an industry that never understood me, but as an artist who has honed his craft in the shadows and is ready to shine on his own terms. The dream is no longer a distant goal—it’s a reality I’m about to create, my way.
