"If a person repents from some sins and remains upon other sins, then the repentance from the sins that are repented from is still valid" - very useful to know, as shaytaan may whisper to a person something along the lines of "what's the point of giving up this sin when there are so many other sins I'll still fall into anyway" in order to hold them back from repenting. Perhaps repenting from that sin and giving it up will eventually make it easier to repent from those other sins one by one, so there is still a point.
