Slime welcomes the renowned French producer Salaryman to the label. An industry veteran with an impeccable back catalogue on some of the biggest labels around including Ram and Infrared, he makes his debut on the imprint with a versatile and compelling selection of tracks that span garage through to drum & bass. 

‘Lose Your Memories VIP’ warps the original track from a D&B template into a seductive garage roller. Drifting in on modulated keys and atmospheric percussion, the rhythm slowly unfurls into a laconic two-step narrative. Replete with subtle bass pulses and breathless female vocals, it conjures up the best elements of the golden era of liquid D&B, twisted into a UKG format.

‘Modelling Clouds’ sees a collaboration with fellow countryman Static State for this sublime D&B odyssey. Melancholy piano keys introduce proceedings before melodic chords and ethereal vocals are blended across a beautiful D&B groove that quickly warms your heart and sets your mind adrift.

‘The Days’ celebrates the joy of old skool garage with an addictive string-picking melody wrapped around bumpy UKG beats and twisting basslines. Subtle rave chords and female vocals add some sonic spice to the mix for a classic dancefloor filler that will have ravers everywhere winding their waists.

For the last track French producer Hubwar takes hold of ‘Modelling Clouds’, mutating it into a contemplative dubstep groove. Cavernous bassweight and alien sounds combine for an enervating take on the original.

'Love/Kraft Part 2' is released on November 10 via Zone, the record label ran by Amato and fellow darkness-bringer Gesaffelstein, and features seven more tracks that touch upon Italo Disco, Detroit-styled electro and punishing techno.

We have the premiere of 'Jupiter Skyline' and it's one of the more fiery cuts on the EP. Skipping around the 126bpm mark, this is a glitchy and synth-laden production, one that hypnotises and pummels in equal measures. Check it.

It's slumber time and this week we're sent floating off to dreamland by Berlin's Lucrecia Dalt. Signed to Nicolas Jaar's subscription based Other People imprint, this week Lucrecia followed her Syzygy album with the minimalist S/T EP and we knew right away that her sparse sonic style would bring something special to i-D's Slumber Session. Press play and slip into sleep mode with Lucrecia's dreamscape.

"Something very subtle has happened. It's as if reality has been tilted, or perhaps, someone like you had slowly inclined it, or even worse, had consciously crooked it, just like that! Oh, tell me, tell me! If you have noticed how have I been slowly sliding, is there an edge here, or?

I'm tiring of it now, I'm left with the draws. I do want you to love me, but more I want you to let me love you, let me crave you, let me do anything to you at any moment express my appreciation for you, lie down with you over and over, feel everything, your skin, your breath, your fluids, the whole you and in holding you let there be for that moment no difference between us, nothing that cannot be. The next PAS release comes via Mote-Evolver and it's three tracks of intergalactic techno sludge. It's dark, dingy and as industrial as a factory that makes robots designed to wipe out the human race.

We've got the premiere of 'Arc' and it's probably the gnarliest track on the EP. Both menacing and pulsating from the off, there's a wall of static in the background throughout and a breakneck pace that doesn't let up. Big.

We've secured the premiere of Ricardo's ambiq edit and fans of the ever-inspiring Chilean will fall in love instantly with his progressive new re-imagining. 

On the outset it seems like another Villalobos roller but listen deeper and the intricate stirrings and mechanical groove is revealed. It twists and turns with a steely grip, and the gritty, mechanical focus is something to be admired.

The 'Teach Me' EP by The Two Mamarrachos features the vocal talents of Snem K and comes packed with a super-strong set of remixes. Damon Jee, Rodion and Reverso 68 have all turned in edits but it's the Factory Floor remix that caught our eye.

Their remix is an analogue-lover's dream, one that showcases thick, chunky riffs and that builds from the off. It's weird and wonderful and exactly the sort of high production values we'd expect from Factory Floor.
