Il materiale sonoro è esclusivamente tratto da elaborazioni di suoni di rullante.
Il software principalmente utilizzato per l’elaborazione è stato Max/Msp.

Il brano si basa sul concetto della vita e della morte, e la loro ciclicità.
Il concetto della vita è ampio e misterioso e in nessuna maniera separato dal concetto di morte.
Ma nella ciclicità non esistono punti di arrivo; infatti anche se ogni inizio ha una fine, ogni fine è un’inizio.

La vita è armonia; la ciclicità crea armonia, rappresentata dalle fasce sonore, e la vita ha i suoi imprevisti, suoni più caotici e disordinati.
La vita, la morte, la metamorfosi, l’attesa; nell’insieme tutto porta ad un equilibrio sottile che da forma a questo grande ciclo.

Cycle In Circle (acousmatics)

Il brano è una rappresentazione sonora della Follia e del passaggio da nevrosi a
spensieratezza.
Il brano inizia con l'entrata in una stanza, luogo piccolo, claustrofobico e solitario,
simbolo di un piccolo e stretto mondo estraneo (allegoria già usata da Dalì1).
L'interferenza e i suoni in distorsione richiamano la percezione alterata della realtà, la
chiusura della porta segna il distacco dalla società, il bisogno di voler restare da soli.
Qualcosa inizia già a cambiare e le reazioni di chi è già predisposto a sintomi di
pazzia si iniziano a percepire.
Colpi di tosse, urti, eccessiva salivazione, note stonate, attacchi improvvisi da parte di
un suono aggressivo, un'entità associabile alla pazzia vera e propria, percezione di un
problema; tutti questi elementi inizialmente preoccupano e destabilizzano, ma pian
piano subentra la consapevolezza di questa situazione e l'abbandono ad essa; ed
infine la scelta
della stessa follia.
Nuove sonorità alternano le risate isteriche a quelle consapevoli, ansimi a ghigni,
suoni grotteschi a suoni più dolci: avviano lo sviluppo che apre la strada per un
nuovo mondo,
un nuovo modo di vivere.
Una battaglia interiore è rappresentata dal climax che collega la pazzia intesa come
nevrosi alla spensieratezza e leggerezza.
Inizia adesso il momento di stasi, i cui protagonisti sono animi pacati, gioiosi e
spensierati, risa di gusto, bambini che giocano in atmosfere meno caotiche.
Questo è il momento da dedicare al proprio istinto, dediti ai vantaggi che la Follia ci
porta: la giovinezza, il divertimento e la creatività.
Il brano si conclude con il dileguarsi del bambino ed il disfacimento del periodo di
Follia.

My interest in music began when I was a child and I started recording cartoon theme songs from television on tape; the first instrument I learnt to play was the clarinet, which I studied for two years.
My real passion for music, however, started when I was a teenager by listening all day long to American and British rock. This allowed me to learn about the rock and punk backgrounds and cultures, while thanks to the lyrics I improved my English.
When I was 14 I started to play the drums and applied to a school affiliated to the Conservatory of Music in Palermo.
There I started to study music in a more structured way: theory, music notation, ear training, piano, etc.
I played the drums in different bands where I collaborated as arranger, lyricist and song composer; thanks to this my creativity could finally express itself, and this generated the need for me to make music that would be completely mine.
I approached various traditional instruments and music styles, along with composing music using Digital Audio Workstations.
Because of my love for computers and new audio technologies I purchased the main tools to create my own home studio so I could begin to record, produce and edit music.
After high school, my passion for music and technologies led me to move to Palermo and start the Electronic Music degree course at the Conservatory of Music in Palermo.
I graduated with highest grades (110/110 cum Laude) in 2014.
As what said so far shows, I am deeply interested in audio experimentation, and do not want to limit myself to only a few styles or genres. I love composing music with both traditional and electronic instruments, I love to experiment, research and manipulate sounds, so as to create new and unique effects or melodies.

I am currently deeply fascinated by the sound itself at its highest quality and in every form; this passion has driven me to learn how to create and process synthetic sounds and, above all, how to record and process sound professionally.

I would like to deepen my knowledge in the wide field of music and digital arts, particularly in digital music composition, the application of music and sound to videos and images, sound design, sound effects, creation of sound for commercials/television/films.

I have played and currently play the drums in many live concerts with different bands and styles, I teach privately drum techniques and styles, oversee and lead all the recording sessions of my bands. I also play the guitar and the keyboard, arranging and producing many songs in different styles (ambient, electronic, rock, instrumental, etc.).
During my time as a student at the Conservatory I undertook music courses (such as composition, musical reading, intonation and rhythmic) and other more technical computer courses (such as electro-acoustic, sampling, synthesis and digital sound processing) with the support of various software that I learnt to use over the years (Max/Msp, Csound, Cubase, Sibelius). While there, I had the opportunity to manage, plan, and record live concerts even for big ensembles (orchestra, jazz, pop, etc.); this practical experience, alongside the more theoretical courses, allowed me to learn techniques and aesthetic concepts related to musical composition. I also started to compose acousmatic music, and played it live.
I undertook courses related to Music composition applied to images and I have always been particularly interested in the Music on Screen subjects, on which I did research by myself.

My music passion leaded me from many years so far to the will to know and experiment new languages to communicate through sound.
