Time Goes By

"There is geometry in the humming of the strings. There is music in the spacing of the spheres." - Pythagoras. 

The implication of this quote of music's ability to encapsulate underlying patterns in the cosmos drew me into music. I am a neoclassical composure. I am a recent graduate of Master's program at the University of Cambridge, and will be continuing onto a PHD in the coming year. I have a background philosophy and communication theory. I came into music composition because of my realization that music is a special kind of communication tool that permits one to say or signify many things that can not be said with verbal language. I am a person with physical disabilities, that have prevented me from learning to play any instruments directly. Therefore, I compose electronically using virtual instrument libraries (from east west studios) in the qbase and studio one audio workstations - I use these programs to dictate, orchestrate, mix, and master my music. 

I am chiefly inspired by historical masters of the orchestral cannon, such as Vivaldi, Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Mendelson, Mahler, Rachmaninov, Debussy, and Barber. I am also inspired by modern orchestral composures such as John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Ramin Djawadi, and Max Richter. 

Though music is not my profession it is much more than a hobby. It is a means by which I aim to accomplish a different form of the objective I most aspire to as a scholar. Namely, to provoke useful thought and catalyze productive dialectics in the minds of those who consume my work.

Classical, deep house, EDM, jazz,slo-chill…

 My musical background is varied. I started studies in music theory and violin at the age of 8. At the age of eleven, I started with  guitar. I 'm a self-taught guitarist. One year later I started in  a school to study harmony and modern piano for six years. In 2006 I moved to Madrid to study visual production and sound.

I'm part of several bands which plays different styles: Rock, pop, heavy ...

My favourite music style  is classical music and rock. I do not think that both worlds need to be exclusionary.

My musical instrument is the piano. I spend my time playing it with complete devotion.

Raised in a small Italian town near Venice, pianist and composer Alberto Giurioli (1991) started playing piano at the age of four. After his studies at the conservatory of music "Conservatorio di Musica Francesco Venezze" Alberto headed north to London (UK), where he began performing his genre-bending compositions on street pianos across the metropolis. Alberto's music is inspired by the musical language of Ludovico Einaudi, film music composer Hans Zimmer and many other artists and genres.
 
Ever since, his compositions have been streamed for over 6 million times on Spotify, with Tutto è bellissimo reached #1 of the Classical iTunes Charts (UK and Spain), used by brands such as Porsche and been aired on radio stations as for instance on Classic FM (UK), which in 2020 made him the youngest composer ever to enter in the Classic FM Hall of Fame.
 
After his latest single Nightfall premiered on Classic Fm and aired on BBC, he recorded a piano solo session of Following Yourself , Tutto è bellissimo and Nightfall at BBC Maida Vale Studios MV4 for Janice Long show, which she interviewed him live on BBC.
 
Alberto's new album will be released in 2021.
