This set was something special. Played during the night at the night stage (camp Freek Vreemd), under the stars, surrounded by magic and mystery. The silent disco setup created an intimate, surreal vibe and energy — just lights, movement, and sound flowing directly into your ears.
I leaned into the dreamy side of techno, blending melodic textures with pulsing rhythms to keep the energy alive while still holding space for the atmosphere. Some spoken word and theme-fitting vocals made their way in too — it just felt right for the moment. And judging by the dancefloor… it landed.

Ever wondered what a distant planet might sound like, one you didn’t even know existed?
Well, here’s your chance...
Welcome to Kazaar-9, a planet light-years away, where the pressure is extreme and the ever-shifting landscape reveals deep caverns filled with stunning crystals formed over millions of years. Life here is resilient, not on the surface, but deep underground.
At Buiten Bereik, a 4-day festival I co-organized, we told a story: a journey through space, visiting a different planet with every DJ set.
I dug deep into my collection for music that captured the feeling of crystals, pressure, and the hidden life below. (Not every day you get your own planet as a DJ, right?)
What you hear in this set is the result, a soundscape built from underground echoes, heavy pressure, and glimmers of light breaking through.
One of the things I always get inspired by as a DJ is trying to incorporate a theme or something of a story. Sometimes I just hear a track or catch a certain feeling, and it sparks something. That’s when ideas start flowing, and I get inspired to make an intro or shape the whole vibe around that, through text, energy, or whatever feels right.

(Re)Connect was wonderful again! So many open-minded people, fully into dancing and sharing the vibe. This is the first of two recordings from the festival, captured live on Thursday, 4 September 2025.
That night I played a techno set. It’s not easy to put a label on this style of techno (feel free to share your thoughts!), but some keywords would be: groovy, funky, driving, hypnotic, and psychedelic. When you mix those elements together, you get a playful underground journey built for the dance floor.
I’ve been searching for tracks with this kind of vibe for quite some time, and finally I had the chance to play a full set around it. The open-minded atmosphere at (Re)Connect really invites you to experiment as a DJ, and that freedom makes the whole experience extra special.
Big thanks to everyone who was there and everyone who made (Re)Connect possible. I already miss you all!

This is the second of two live recordings from (Re)Connect 2025, a festival that keeps getting better every single year! On Friday, 5 September, I played a psytrance set. It’s a style I only play at (Re)Connect, since the festival has its roots in psytrance and it feels right to share my own take on it every year.
Each time I dive into the different sub-genres, I end up enjoying it more and more. It’s playful, creative, full of energy, and such a joy to mix! I always love deejaying, but this set was something else, one of the most fun experiences I’ve had in a long time. The atmosphere, the people, the energy on the dance floor… it all came together and felt like we were moving as one.
I was truly in the zone that night. Maybe this means you’ll be hearing more psytrance-inspired sets outside of (Re)Connect in the future?
I had such a great time behind the decks, and the crowd’s energy lifted everything to another level. Thank you all for being part of it and creating that special atmosphere. I’m really happy to share this recording with you here, hope you enjoy the trip as much as I did!

A high-intensity journey through the psychedelic edges of techno.
This 136 → 150 BPM set merges techno, psy-trance, acid, neo-rave energy, and dark trance influences with rolling basslines, hypnotic patterns, industrial tension, and classic rave nostalgia.

The intention behind this set was simple: to take the room on a psychedelic ride, to push harder than usual, and to shape a true underground rave atmosphere where everyone felt connected and fully inside the moment.

What began as a planned 90-minute session evolved into a 3.5-hour psychedelic techno trip. The underground atmosphere stayed deep and hypnotic, the crowd locked in, and the energy kept climbing—so the set expanded naturally, shifting through different styles I really enjoy: psy-techno, acid-techo, psy-trance, breaks, neo-rave, raw techno, classix and funky grooves.

The final acceleration connects to my bootleg of “Artemas - i like the way you kiss me” shaping the closing section into a fast, fun techno-psy finale that blends intensity with playful energy.

The mix became a continuous flow, a tunnel where one idea dissolved into the next without breaking momentum. A spontaneous underground journey shaped by the moment, the crowd, and the freedom to let the music lead.

Ideal for late-night floors, underground spaces, and listeners who enjoy fast, hypnotic, mind-bending techno.

Last summer (2015) this set was recorded live during Nowhere Festival (a regional burn event in Spain). The Festival contains of different camps called Barrio’s, usually with a sound system. The mostly Paris based Barrio called “El Chameleon Otto” let me play there in the end of the afternoon/early evening. As a good Chameleon does it can change colour. And well that’s what they did. During the day I was playing they all dressed in green (luckily I had some green clothes to wear). They even served green food and green cocktails. It was awesome. Not to mention their sound system (it had so much bass).
