Number 9 on our Nugcast series comes from one of the best djs in the portuguese electronic scene, so today we would like to welcome @cruzmmusic on board.

Cruz is responsible for the Bloop Recordings label, one of the biggest labels in the country.
From several events and clubs in Portugal, such as Lisboa Electrónica, Neopop or 5A Club, he is also a regular face visiting some of the most important stops in the national clubbing scene and international, already passing through Canada, Brazil, and European capitals like Berlin, London or Amsterdam.
Lover and collector of vinyl, he started to build his career for more then 10 years ago, always keeping a low-profile.

In a decade-long career, Robin has been playing and releasing music in different labels around the world. Growing up around funk music during his formative years in Nice, France, Robin left home early relocating to East London in 2007, where he was drawn to the burgeoning underground club scene. Influenced by the French style of the nineties, while also drawing on inspiration from deeper German minimal sounds, Robin was entrenched in the fertile East London scene during this exciting era of London’s musical history.

Of late Italian artist Jacopo Latini has been getting serious props and rightly so. His no nonsense approach to house music is refreshing. Super phat basslines and massive lead synths all packages together with the tightest of grooves. Having been a core part of Shaque and DJ Tjizza’s onpoint Mood Waves imprint since the first release Jacopo together with Giammarco Orsini as Data Memory Access are surfing that wave of peak time, bomb heavy output at present. Also heading up his own label Taboo Traxx alongside T.Oceans this doesn’t show any sign of letting up either.

Having starred at Picnic’s huge fabric takeover, DMA and Jacopo in solo mode has brought the heat to all manner of raves. Danube in Berlin, Shelter in Amsterdam, and countless events in his native Italy has Jacopo racking up the miles. We are thrilled to welcome Latini to our InSession series and he comes correct with a finely balanced mix. Expertly treading a funky but fine line between electro, house and bass heavy breaks, this is a mix that superbly showcases the many styles and musical loves that make Jacopo Latini an interesting prospect for now and most definitely for the future.

It’s safe to say that Resolute is to New York what Secretsundaze and Half Baked are to London, Sash! is to Sydney and the likes of Sunrise are to Romania. In onther words, it’s a party that’s very much at the heart of its country’s electronic music scene. And at the heart of any great party is its residents. Maksim (real name Maxim) is a Russian DJ/producer who’s been a key part of the Resolute party and a resident since 2013. 

Known for his groovy and infectious sets (that clearly, reflect his playful nature), he found music in his teenage years and is truly someone who’s worked his way up: he even worked as a lighting guy before turning his hand to DJing. It was in Brooklyn where he’s found his calling, impressing the Resolute crew and securing a residency that would lead him on a whole new lifepath. As we’re such fans, we decided to invite the man himself back for another mix. And this one's another cracker!

Next on the Albion tapes series is outcast crew member Alex Dima coming fresh out of Torino Italy.

Alex brings with him a certain type of class, and oozes style with it too.  with his flawless ability to mix anything from hip hop, ambient right through to spacey pads with a hypnotic groove throughout.

We first caught wind of this talent from his release on Clut Communications and knew we had to explore his talent more in depth.
