Shmup Music

Stage music I made for the MusicWeeklies #ShmupMusic challenge. All instruments are SNES sounds with modern flair added on top. This was my second attempt for this challenge; my first try had 10000% more drumfills and nonsense and the resulting track didn't feel like it belonged in a shmup. So for this one, I dialed a lot of the dynamic elements in the beat back and kept the snare steady for most of the track.

All Shmupped Up And No Place To Go

A boss track I made for the MusicWeeklies #ShmupMusic challenge. All instruments are SNES sounds with modern flair added on top. It's probably a bit too dynamic for some games, this one would be best used for a boss fight with elements changing as the music changes.
